Booked and paid online(booking.com) . We arrived my girlfriend went to check in and the manager was so disgruntled that it was booked online that she actually asked him if we were able to stay or not! After getting the room key we went up the noisiest stairs I've ever heard into a room that was so cramped it might have well been a caravan . It smelt old stale carpet. The walls let so much sound through eg snoring from another room all night and doors that have to be opened and shut multiple times so they lock oh and the stairs that I can only guess we constructed out of megaphones! The fan had years of dust. The mirror behind the door was broken. The shower had red hair in the drain . The blinds let plenty of light through so no chance of sleeping in . hope this review and photos help others avoid this place and can put there $150 towards anywhere else to stay .

DO NOT STAY HERE! 18.03.25 Manager is rude. Room stinks like urine. Asked Manager for Glen20 and reason why, got told it’s not urine and I don’t know what I’m talking about. He’s been here 17 years and never heard this, read the reviews, wish we did! Steep stairs up to second story, noisy stairs and walls are thin as paper. I could hear the guy next door pass wind. Room is small and dated. Ocean view was a small snippet from the corner of the balcony. Location to beach and town is all that makes this dump worthwhile!

Tiny room. Excellent location and very clean. Wonderful service. Close to the beach. Room upstairs a bit of a struggle with large suitcase. Worth a stay.

We booked this place around September 2021, for a two night stay on 12th and 13th March 2022. This was for 5 rooms for 5 couples. On arrival, no one in attendance, lounge locked, keys in a drop box. Into the rooms and wham!! The only other SMALLER room we have EVER stayed in was one in the original First motel in Australia, in Bathurst...circa 1960 or so. What else?? well, NO internet, no tissues, ONE cake of soap for two people for two nights, minimal tea and coffee and milk, not enough for two days. No room compendium to advise on facilities, what you could get in town and where. No breakfast menu, no indication whether we could order same anyway. The lounge remained locked the entire time we were there, so no-where for Happy Hour except crammed into an alcove at the top of the stairs. Walls paper thin, gaps under the doors, room unserviced after first night, the cleaner turned up as we were leaving on the second day, didn't say boo to a goose and locked himself in the lounge...I could go on, but why bother, surfice it to say, GIVE THIS PLACE A BIG MISS!! As well as all this, of the 7 motels we stayed at on our 12 day Tassie trip, this was by far the worst, AND was the only one that demanded a 50% deposit up front, last year..it was also the DEAREST place we stayed at for our entire trip. If we could give zero stars we would,...

My friends and I stopped for lunch at the View Point Cafe in the Amos House while passing through the otherwise beautiful town of Swansea. We should have taken note when we found the cafe empty; the inside was stiflingly hot and the manager advised that we just come back later as the cafe gets too hot in the afternoon.

A member of our party ordered a mediocre sandwich which took the manager quite long to make. We then asked how long it would take to prepare a takeaway burger, to which we received a snarky, unaccommodating response. It was clear that the staff had no desire to work this afternoon, and as we walked out in protest after paying, the manager actually swore at us and suggested WE had woken up on the wrong side of the bed.

This was a deeply disappointing experience and has tarnished my memory of Swansea - a quaint little oceanside town in its own...
