This review is for the restaurant: On first appearance, as you arrive, you will be very unprepared for the feeling of satisfaction once you leave. The building is a 1980's style brick finish and the restaurant tucked away in the far corner, and once inside, you will be greeted with the same decor that was present when it opened.
The new owners, Zac and Alex have concentrated their efforts on getting the most important things right; the homely feeling of walking into a familiar pub, a great beverage selection, and the quality of the food.
Ingredients are sourced locally each week and the menu changes as such, but nothing is wasted from the previous week's haul.
We ordered the Steak & Frittes and the Salt Baked Blue eye with a locally sourced Rose and delicious beer.
Firstly, the steak was cooked to perfection, with an incredible char and the exceptionally cooked chips rested on a dark and silky pan gravy. 10 out of 10 with no hesitation. The Salt Baked Blue Eye fish was just as good. A meaty fish on a bed of mussel broth saved from the previous week's mussel dish was the perfect addition, with a few sneaky mussels underneath as a nice touch to the origin of the sauce. The potatoes were whole-baked and outstanding. again, 10 out of 10.
The restaurant has only been running in this format for 5 weeks so along with it comes the usual teething problems of getting new staff up to speed, and don't let the decor or stock boxes in the corner worry you, as time marches on and the team unites with the systems in place, these minor issues will disappear, and Alex was an expert in making sure everyone on the floor felt comfortable and welcomed while Zac dished out world-class food.

Read moreIt was a great accommodation during my trip to Tasmania. If it's a schedule that passes through Swansea, I definitely recommend this accommodation. It was a family trip for three adults.
The interior and bathroom of the room were clean and well-organized. In particular, the bathroom was large and the water pressure was strong, so it was very nice. Above all, I loved the sea view from the first floor room. In the case of the first floor, you can go directly from your room to the beach yard. And there's a free washer and two dryers in the common laundry room, so you can have plenty of time if you arrive early (you can wait late at night). It has been very helpful for travelers who haven't had enough time to do their laundry.
I remember one thing here: I left my shopping bag behind and came to my country. They messaged me and sent me a parcel. The item I received in almost 10 days felt like a gift.
Charmaine and Naomi, Thank you very much for your kind response

Read moreCons - Expensive! Paid over $700 for my folks to stay two nights. Room Service An executive suite and they had to wash their dishes in the bathroom sink because the room doesn't come with a proper one. Someone came to refill the tea and coffee etc but no one could wash their dishes? Free Wifi Terrible connection; not acceptable with Starlink now a thing. Bar Fridge Tiny bar fridge in the room and at ground level. Not overly accessible for older or movement inhibited people. Everything has to be laid down to fit in.
Pros - They were happy with the spa and were fine with the room size. It didn't feel crammed in. Closeness to other attractions and amenities was a plus. Staff were polite and courteous. The views was amazing.
Overall 2.5 - 3 stars. I really was unhappy with the price vs what you get for it; the lack of kitchen sink and multiple dishes being the biggest detractor. Your forced to wash up after every meal if you want to have available dishes for the next one. How is...
