Just popped into Alimento to try out their new breakfast menu. The atmosphere inside the dining area is really nice—I love the shared-style dining tables, and there's also a lovely couch seating area.

I often have low expectations when it comes to going out for breakfast; it's usually overpriced and underwhelming. Not this time! The avo smash was excellent, possibly the best I've had in a while, if ever. It was perfectly seasoned, the bread was toasted but still nice and soft, and the two perfectly poached eggs topped with those little acidic pickled bits were super yum!

My hubby had the Spanish baked eggs, which came out looking beautiful, and he had no complaints! At $50 for two breakfasts and two coffees, it's really not bad! The portion sizes are spot on—generous but not over the top. And the coffee was great, as usual.

They also have lots of yummy take-home options (can't wait to try the curried egg sandwich) and pastries available too.

So excited to have this new spot in Swansea!

Highly recommend grabbing a few figs on your way out—the best figs...

Yesterday, with three companions, we came across this restaurant for a late lunch. The atmosphere and vibes from the staff was very welcoming and I loved the cosy nook in the dining room, with the Chesterfield chairs and cushions and even blankets for those colder days and nights. The delights kept on coming, because the food consumed by the four of us was superb, and for me I risked ordering fish, which I have eaten all my life, as my father was a keen skindiver and supplied us with the best. This meal was perfect. Perfectly cooked Baramundi with delicious cooked vegetables in a sweet chilli sauce, and I enjoyed every mouthful. The reason I said that I risked ordering fish, was that I've had far too many fish meals that were way overcooked but this was just right. I came away very satisfied and happy after an amazing meal. Thank you...

Alimento - Swansea Rating: 5/5 - Great Coffee and Pastries

The coffee was excellent, rich and well balanced, just what I needed to start the day. The pastries were also a nice surprise, fresh and perfectly baked, making for a great pairing with the coffee.

Another positive point is that they stay open until late in the afternoon, which is convenient if you’re looking for a relaxed spot later in the day. Plus, they’re open on Sundays, which is a rare find and definitely appreciated!

The cafĂ© has a cozy atmosphere, perfect for relaxing or catching up with friends. Overall, a great spot if you’re looking for quality coffee and tasty pastries in Swansea. I'll definitely be back for...

Stopped by here for an early dinner. They have a small dinner menu cooked fresh and things you can buy from the display cabinet. It looks like a deli / cafe from the outside, but inside there are several tables inside. Tried the gourmet hotdog and the el pollo fritto bauer. The hotdog had a great flavour and bun was soft. Liked the salsa that was put on it. Unique twist. The deep fried chicken had a little too much crunchy coating but the chicken was moist inside. Came out nice and hot. Loved the potato bits and the coleslaw. Would recommend!
