DO NOT EAT HERE!!! 1/10, Overpriced FOOD - Terrible, My husband is a Steak Conisour and the best thing on his plate was the Salad!!!! Plane Cold Chips (0 seasoning) UnSeasoned Steak and didnt even get given a fork. Also the worst lemmon lime bitters...somehow taste like a liquified Cinnomon Stick -Pizza was a whole block of cheese with a sprinkle of ham. Somehow they managed to Burn the Edges while leaving the underside of the base doughy....Didnt even finish it and not even worth a review. SERVICE- It Doesn't get any bettet here, Unfriendly, blunt staff who didnt make me feel welcome. Ordered 2 Drinks Via QR Code, and they brought out one and made me ask for the other one, to which they said I Never even ordered. So had to show recipt. ATMOSPHERE- Only good thing in this place is the Long Glass window and this Crab Painting. Our Second time coming here ( after the first time left us equally dissapointed, we decided to give it one more chance) and our very last visit. Not to mention this Experience cost us $69 we will never come back again.....

For sports-watching and hard-drinking, not for pub food S23°7.785' E150°44.949' On the corner of the Anzac Parade and Normandy Street, this grand old seaside pub has been refurbished in the form of glass façade and imitation leather furniture. It looks sterile and the sea breeze brings in a cold draft. Not an intimate place. In September 2018, we ordered at bar (no more service) chicken club pizza (large AU$20) and fish of the day: baked fresh red throat emperor (AU$32). Nothing went wrong with the pizza, but nothing went better than a regular fast food pizza. The fish of the day was a total disappointment. The fish missed every taste, but the Asian wonton salad beneath it shouted a tsunami of flavours in a battle to impress first: chilli, ginger and cornanda (?). These flavours were not compatible at all. They completely killed our appetite. The refurbished Strand Hotel is in need for a second facelift: the kitchen. Their food was clearly below the well-known pub food standard, not the best in the world in itself. Not recommended.

I’ve eaten at the Strand Hotel a few years ago and had a lovely time so visiting the area I thought I’d pop in. Mixed review really.

We ordered via the app, it’s the done thing these days so happy to do it. Pictures were helpful.

The good: food was good. I had a carbonara and my partner had the steak sandwhich plus an entree of cheese and bacon garlic bread. These were yummy, timely delivered etc. great.

The bad: ordered drinks via the app. 2 cokes (diet and normal) in schooners. The app clearly stated coke. Diet Coke. And other coke-brand options. When the drinks arrived the staff member said they were Pepsi. Queried and she said they only have Pepsi on tap. Thats not what the app said. No apology, a bit cranky, but she did offer a bottle. She didn’t bring a cup and ice back, just the coke. That’s fine, it was a solution. BUT she also put a little receipt from her machine that showed Pepsi on her receipt. Bit passive aggressive. I don’t care what ur receipt says - the app advertised coke.

Please change the menu on ur app to reflect what you have or train your staff to pop by the table and advise the error. That passive aggressive was...
