Today I decided after cooking for other people all week I would treat myself and go eat at lure living for the first time. I ordered a bacon Benny with their sauteed mushrooms on the side not a massive issue but they were in the Benny.
First photo is a beautiful looking breakfast from lure today, the second is what was hiding under all the garnish and store bought hollandaise 1 completely burnt piece of toast the other 2 had rock hard edges (possibly from being toasted in an oven) and the center was soggy from 1kg of butter on each piece, The eggs would have bounced if they fell off my plate the bacon was a little bit over cooked and the spinach was raw which wouldnt have been an issue if the rest of the meal was cooked correctly. The only part i enjoyed was the mushroom (I did eat the bacon too) when I took my plate back they tried to smooth it over with me but honestly its an eggs benny its in every cafe how hard is it to nail so i went to woolies and made my own breakfast (picture 3 and the Slow motion video) with perfectly cooked bacon sourdough and soft poached egg no spinach because I've had enough raw spinach today to last me a lifetime.

Firstly, I have specific dietary requirements, which I informed the staff about when placing my order. What made this experience truly awful was the behavior of another customer who walked in after I had already begun discussing my order. This individual started to verbally abuse me and stood over me in a threatening manner. To my dismay, rather than intervening, a staff member actually began to side with this abusive customer. Adding insult to injury, this other customer belittled my dietary needs, stating that he "knew my type" just by looking at me, implying some negative stereotype before I had even walked through the door – which is factually incorrect as he arrived after me. To be subjected to verbal abuse and intimidation by another customer, and then to have a staff member fail to intervene and instead seemingly validate that behavior, is completely unacceptable. Read moreAfter booking weeks ago for my daughters birthday party we turned up and the table for 6 was small and wouldn’t fit all of us comfortably to eat and have room we found a worker and asked about being moved tables to we could all fit.. ( 8 seater table had 4 people that just walked in) inside as we booked inside and it was chilly, the young girl with long dark/ brown hair and I think both sides of her nose pierced did ask them if they wanted to swap they of course said no and I do understand but we had a booking, my mother made a statement “we booked this weeks ago teanile” not nasty or angry just stating the facts and the young worker then said very rudely and loud “YOU DONT NEED TO SPEAK TO ME LIKE THAT” and walked away we were very shocked and uncomfortable and at this point left to find our own seating that wasn’t an easy thing as it was busy… from this moment onwards our experience was less than desirable because of our initial experience happy birthday to my 11 year old who was shocked, she had been looking forward to this as we have never dined there before.
