The treacherous journey began just yesterday. Being transported from my Adelaide home to the airport at 4AM was hardly my idea of a positive start to a work trip. Flying to Brisbane to work in both Warana and Maroochydore, then armed with an iPad and a rav 4, I set my sights for Cairns. I knew what I was in for, or at least that's what I kept telling myself.
Upon arrival at Bundaberg, I found myself to be hungry. Not only for food, but also for the warmth of my home. To sit in the chair by the window, and look upon the greatness of the family I had created. Options were slim, and the usual response of "A salad or pasta" was returned when explaining my dietary requirements. Things were grim.
Today the day begun malnourished and cold, I slept in because my vitamins were running low. But I pressed on to the yellow arches to pick up some greasy hash browns and a coffee again. I drove to Rockhampton to work in a store, arriving at 3PM my stomach was sore. Options were limited and time was poor, I had to press on to Yeppoon.
I then checked in to my one night home, the felling of desperation at this stage was overwhelming. I went to my balcony and what did I see? A familiar green sign shining back at me. Oh yes I exclaimed as I accidentally weed, a Zambreros was literally down the street.
Within seconds I was at the front door, I ordered a burrito with cauliflower and extra sauce. When the girl offered crushed corn chips I nearly creamed.. (If only they offered vegan cheese). I asked for double guac and was completely shocked when she appeared to bend the rules, and provide me with 3 scoops of the sacred trees balls.
My burrito was completed and my soul was enhanced, as I devoured my food. I'm now laying on my bed, resting my head, while writing a massive review.
Zambreros forever. Give...
Read moreI ordered a power burrito like it was on the display screen (gf tortilla, choice of extras, etc), what I got was a white tortilla, there was no black rice so I got a small amount of white rice instead, refried beans (I thought I had more of a choice but wasn't offered much) I was not offered guacamole or any other extras? I only had lettuce, no cheese or sour cream and there was only a small portion of lettuce. So I did not actually get the power burrito, it was just a regular burrito, but I was charged for a power burrito. So I went in thinking I was going to get something healthy but ended up with something I didn't want and now I'm not feeling very good. In saying that, the poor girl was by herself with loads of customers waiting, and whoever was out the back said they couldn't come to help her. On a positive note the burrito tasted...
Read moreMe and my partner come in to order food we were asked about our face mask as we weren’t wearing one and we told the lady we were medically exempt as we have got an exemption from our doctor. We then got told that it doesn’t matter and to stand outside (meanwhile it was raining and no undercover, we are also fully vaccinated) We ordered our food while outside and the lady inside behind the counter. When time to pay and collect food we were told to come to the counter. Makes no sense at all and is actually unlawful to disregard a medical exemption. I’m now taking this matter further legally. Disgusted and will never the back. The food was awful as well, hardly any meat, staff weren’t friendly. Really sad as the rest of Yeppoon is beautiful and...
