Hotel Royal - Thermenhotel — Hotel in Bad Ischl

As you know the word Bad in German hasnt got the negative meaning of something not being good ...but it means Bathing , Bath , spa town .... so Bad Ischl is one of the great spa towns in Austria ...a cute , picturesque place where you can enjoy many things.... We had a great time and enjoyed the different facilities of Hotel Royal ....We got a nice room on a high floor facing the mountain . The breakfast was very good with a big variety of evrything..... As we were on a Half Board basis ,we had excellent dinner ( the only drawback is the hours ...6 - 8 in the evening ) which makes it too early for us.. But the food was great ..We had our dinner outside at the terrace . The spa area is connected with the main building by a glass corridor leading to the Pools...there is a huge , indoor heated swimming pool with special seats on one side where you can have water massage..the water is salted ....Outside there is a pool river where you are carried by the flow and feel the excitement...!! We really enjoyed ourselves staying at Hotel royal and it was definetely ...an Excellent ...

1. HOTEL ROYAL Eurothermen resort: struttura datata con arredamento in vecchio stile come la maggior parte della clientela ospitata. Dislocato nel centro del paese di Bad Ischl, l'hotel consente l'accesso gratuito all'annesso centro termale suddiviso in area piscine interne ed esterne (molte con forme particolari, canali di collegamento, grotta salina e sdraio ed ombrelloni inclusi nelle numerose aree relax dentro e fuori. Separatamente vi è anche un'ampia zona saune per adulti (almeno 10 di tutte le tipologie: bagno turco, inalazioni, infrarossi e varie tipologie di diverse cabine sauna) con giardino esterno dotato di ombrelloni e sdraio gratis. Vario il programma dei trattamenti con gettate di vapore (aufguss) alcuni con prodotti ed altre essenze nutrienti per la pelle (bravi i vari sauna-Meister). Assenza di vasche esterne all'area saune (internamente: 1 idromassaggio ed una piscina salina senza getti).||2) CAMERE: Visibili i segni del tempo soprattutto nelle camere standard, in cui gli arredi sono consumati, logori e spesso danneggiati in alcuni punti (soprattutto sulle superfici ormai consumate e muri sporchi pieni di segni neri). Nei bagni (vecchio stile) non è presente bidè (poco usato in Austria) e gli asciugamani sono carta vetrata  (Cotone di bassa qualità). La camera è dotata di una TV che LCD di vecchia generazione con schermo piccolissimo ed un solo canale italiano  (RAI 1) peraltro non visibile (non sintonizzato). Le stanze standard non hanno climatizzazione e hanno poche prese di corrente  (assenza di prese sulla testata del letto/comodini). |Gran parte delle vetrate dell'hotel (es. sala pranzo) e soprattutto delle camere standard, sono molto sporchi e da tempo mai puliti.|Le camere ed il resto dell'hotel non hanno neppure copertura Wi-fi che è presente e disponibile gratuitamente solo presso la zona della hall davanti alla reception.||3) ACCOGLIENZA: abbiamo atteso, per ore sui divani della hall, la consegna della camera avvenuta alle 14.30, giustificata dal fatto che il check out  e' entro le ore 12 (non molto "late" considerato che è solo 1 ora dopo la media degli altri hotel). Abbiamo atteso nella hall senza neppur un bicchiere di spumante o acqua offerto (come succede anche negli hotel più scarsi) e  l'unica ragazza presente alla reception non sapeva neppure parlare in inglese! (Mah: possibile che si verifichi cio' in un hotel a 4 stelle?)||RISTORAZIONE: trattamento in mezza pensione con cena a menù con limitata scelta e buffet dolci scarso. Personale e camerieri di sala indossano CIABATTE e SANDALI APERTI, anziché scarpe chiuse (servizio da 4 stelle?). Possibilità di assaggiare torte dopo le ore 14... ma ovviamente le bevande sono a pagamento  (quindi non incluso the' o caffè).|A colazione non vi sono spremute fresche come nella maggior parte degli hotel a 4 stelle, ma sono bibite /succhi in bottiglia.||Insomma per sintetizzare: l'Hotel Royal (resort Eurothermen) di Bad Ischl è una struttura che risulta inferiore alla media degli altri 4 stelle austriaci, in quanto necessita di rinnovo /restyling soprattutto nelle camere, negli arredi e per tutti gli accessori tecnologici (TV, connessione Wi-fi in...
