We stayed at this hotel in Bad Ischl for two nights and had a mixed experience.
Room and Facilities: The room was spacious and well-equipped with a kitchen and dining table. Our room was located on the top floor, which made it quite warm during the recent heat wave, though the provided fan helped keep the temperature acceptable. The bed comfort was mediocre. There was initially a musty smell from the bedding, likely due to the windows being closed all day, but this disappeared after we opened the windows and let some sunlight reach part of the bed.
Building and Amenities: The building itself has considerable historical character, though this means there's no elevator available - you'll need some effort to carry luggage up to the top floor. The first floor features a nice common area and balcony where you can enjoy some sunshine.
Parking and Location: The hotel doesn't have its own parking, so you'll need to park at a free parking lot several hundred meters away. I was aware of this before booking, but it's worth noting for other travelers. For those using public transport, this isn't an issue as buses stop right in front of the hotel. However, the downside is increased traffic noise - even with windows closed, you can still hear a bit vehicle sounds, so it depends on your noise tolerance. The town center is within walking distance.
Service: The owner was friendly , helpful and provided plenty of helpful local information.

Read moreI can highly recommend the apartments. We stayed in "Ella", the smallest, and it was superbly equipped - clearly a great deal of thought had been expended on what guests might actually need. It was full of thoughtful little touches, such as providing salt, oil and vinegar for cooking and coffee with several different kinds of milk. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and the antique furniture created a lovely atmosphere. We shall definitely stay here again next time we're...
Read moreWe booked two Heritage Boutique apartments for our stay, and both were perfect. The apartments were very clean, spacious and well equipped. They are in a good location for accessing the many attractions in Bad Ischl and the surrounding area, which includes several lakes. Hallstatt salt mine is definitely worth a visit.
Monika is a super friendly host and made us feel relaxed and comfortable.
