We found discovering a nice hotel in Salzburg to be a bit of a challenge. We stumbled upon this one as we were doing our research and we loved that it looked pretty and had free parking. Upon arrival we were met by the housekeeper and she showed us to our room. Later on the owner Elisabeth explained the best sights in town. ||||The hotel is more like a bed and breakfast and the rooms are really comfortable, nice bedding, crockery, tea making facilities, bottled water and a lovely bathroom. Robes and slippers would have been ideal to have. In the bathroom we were provided with a bar of Clarins soap and a shower gel/ shampoo (unfortunately with nothing in it but as soon as we mentioned this it was filled up). Housekeeping was a little hit and miss, our water glasses were only replaced once out of 4 days, but everyone was very nice. Breakfast was pleasant with a lovely view out to the garden, 3 out of 4 days we were given a waffle to share which was a nice touch. ||||The hotel is about a 20 minute pleasant walk in to town. You can hire bikes for free if you like and it looked like buses ran from a nearby stop. Do be aware that you need to pay a city tax when you check out at €1.50 per person per day. Read moreI stayed at Boutiquehotel Villa Sissi earlier this month in Salzburg, Austria. It was a wonderful hotel experience. The hotel is very elegant and the rooms are beautifully decorated. There were fresh flowers everywhere and often soft classical music playing.
Breakfast was by far the best part. They include fancy coffees, cold cuts, fresh bread rolls, cheese slices, fresh juices etc. The service is also amazing.
The hotel itself is a bit off the beaten path, just across the Salzach river from the main touristy areas. But they have parking and it was very easy to navigate via the #10 or the #6 bus (there is a stop down the block from the hotel). There is also a grocery store near the hotel too, which I found really convenient to purchase sandwiches and snacks.
I would highly recommend this hotel to friends staying...

Cannot do enough to help make your stay just right. |Comfortable, clean rooms with everything you might need. Cracking shower! |Breakfast is plentiful. Continental in style, but impossible to go hungry. Great coffee too! |We were there in December so the Christmas decor was wonderful. Lit candles, trees, garlands. |One of the nicest touches was a bottle of Prosecco was open - always. Plus biscuits or cakes. We loved this. |It’s set back from the main road, so quiet. The gardens are lovely although snow covered for our stay.|It’s a 15 minute walk to main Salzburg which was fine for us. Buses run frequently however. About 20-30 minute taxi ride to...
