Recently taken over and refreshed by a Swedish hotel group, this property is a great place to stay. This has long been a favorite place for our large group when we visit St. Anton. Steps away from the train station and a couple of blocks from the West bus terminal, it is very easy to get to and only a 5 min walk to the lifts.
The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, but by no means luxurious. Very functional and perfect for people here to ski and get some rest. In past years it can be noisy sometimes at night but with the COVID curfews (midnight when we were there) and the reduced number of travelers we had no problems getting rest.
The rates are great and the staff and owners are extremely friendly and helpful. Almost everyone speaks English so you won't have any issues if that's your main language. They service the rooms every day, which many of the large chains (in the US) have stopped doing. This was a very nice surprise.
The rates also include dinner and breakfast, and let me tell you the dinners were fantastic. Compliments to the chefs who love putting their own spin on some traditional classics. In the past the dinners have included wine but they changed that with the new owners, and I think for the better. I feel it allowed them more budget to purchase better ingredients rather than allocate for a lot of wine, and the quality and taste of the food was exceptional. The breakfasts less so but mostly because we didn't agree with the sausage and bacon selections with our mostly US based group. But the breakfasts weren't bad, just not as good as the dinners.
There is a ski room with boot warmers to store your gear, and easy walking to the shops and restaurants around town. There is a pharmacy a few steps away if you need any medication or toiletries, or in the case of our US bound travelers to have a COVID test done.
Overall I'm very happy with the change of ownership and look forward to returning and maybe even trying the hotel managed by the managers in the summer. Our group had a fantastic time here and loved the staff and stay.
*Edit for grammar and response to owners. My pleasure on writing the review and the rating was well deserved. The summer hotel I mentioned was up in Scandinavia as that's been on my list of...

Read moreLeider keine deutschsprachigen Mitarbeiter…. Btw. Der nächste Langzeitparkplatz ist 800 Meter entfernt. Super für den Check...
