Hotel Motel One - Wien Prater — Hotel in Vienna

One thing let this hotel down - the bed. The mattress was very firm which is not necessarily a bad thing, but if you happened to venture towards the side of the bed, then it dropped away so quickly that you were in danger of falling out of bed!!||Overall though, this is a great hotel. The staff were really friendly and very helpful when needed. The room was clean, big enough for what we needed and had everything we needed. It's a room to stay in for a city break so don't intend spending hours in there.||The bar was great - funky chairs & lighting, open 24hrs for late night drinks if required. The bar also doubles as the breakfast area in the mornings. I know some have said that breakfast was a bit chaotic, but to be fair, we didn't struggle on the days we stayed there and it quite nice being forced to share your seating area with complete strangers.||A great plus for the hotel was the proximity of the Prater-Messe subway station. It's about a 2 minute walk from the hotel and gives you speedy access to the city centre. You're also a similar distance from the Prater amusement park which is fun.||Taxi to the hotel from the airport took about 20-25 mins, and cost 42 Euros pre-booked via Bolt.||Would I stay here again...

Hotel is good, like every Motel One for us. There were hiccups which were fixed eventually. At first, our bed was broken, after a long day you just dont want to change rooms at 1 in the morning. But we got a new room and everything was ok.

Our return flight was cancelled, so i asked to book 2 new rooms for another night. This was NOT easy. At first the front desk told me no problem. After 5 min they told me there were no free rooms available. Where 5 minutes prior there were free rooms.

After a lot of computer searching she found me two rooms, after giving all the details we had the rooms. The next day the hotel was nearly empty, where in the weekend there were 2 busy breakfast buffets, there was just one after the extra night, and not so crowded. So i got the strong feeling of not being wanted to book another room, this is very sad since Motel One is our top pick whenever we go to any city.

All in all, Motel One does the basics right: comfortable rooms, which were very clean. A very decent (German style) breakfast. And a great lobby to hang out. Staff is mostly pleasant to interact with.

I recently joined a guys’ trip to Vienna, and while I stayed at another property due to a late booking, the rest of my group stayed at Hotel One. We ended up spending a lot of time there, and I was honestly blown away.

The hotel is beautifully designed—modern, stylish, and welcoming from the moment you walk in. The lobby and common areas have a cool, contemporary vibe, and the bar is a real highlight. We enjoyed drinks on the outdoor patio more than once, and it was the perfect setting to relax after a day in the city.

What stood out most was the friendly and accommodating staff. Even though I wasn’t staying at the hotel, they made me feel welcome every time. The little extras—like complimentary snacks and a really clean, well-maintained space—showed that the hotel goes the extra mile.

All of my friends who stayed there had a great experience and spoke highly of the comfort and quality. If I’m ever back in Vienna, I’ll definitely be booking Hotel One for...
