After reading the negative reviews we were quite concerned about the state of the room and the quality of the service (Especially the bedbug allegations).
However after checking the room ourselves, we were not able to find anything concerning besides a dried out cigarette caught underneath the mattress. (Although I am sure if one were to check any hotel thoroughly something like this would arise)
Overall, we found the people at the front desk kind, and we didn't have any issues to deal with.
The room was serviceable for the price, although if you are looking for amenities, (tea coffee, mini fridge ext.) you may want to consider spending a little more elsewhere.
It was a barebones room, in an old building, furniture was vintage sometimes not in the best condition, looked like the photos. Some paneling here and there was missing, some parts of the walls were patched up with wall paper quite poorly. Walls generally were thin, it was easy to overhear conversations in the halls.
All in all, we were pleasantly surprised, and it wasn't the horror show some of these reviews made the place out to be. Location was decent easily accessible by bus and tram, and metro, although the surrounding area was a little "rough". We would genuinely like to give them a higher score to help compensate for some of the poor ratings, although nothing was quite above and beyond and the place desperately needs some tender love and care.
