Staying at a pension in Vienna is the way I like the accommodation. So, it’s the third time I use it. And never disappointed. Pension Neuer Markt is a quiet, clean, and friendly place to stay. Rooms are big enough (or bigger?) and, if lucky, the view could be great (sorry for those with views on the interior). I was lucky 😊. Maybe you cand ask for the view to the Neuer Markt street (as I luckily had) and will be great.||You’ll have great hosts, willing to help, nice personnel, and, as from me, nothing to regret as I select this pension. Maybe, just a little bit, the lack of a fridge in the room. But only a little bit. ||The breakfast was served in a large window of time and quite good for starting a day. The room is cozy, maybe a bit too small but you’ll manage.||One good point: there were some building works in the building next to the pension and, with the window closed, nothing to hear. Quiet.||And a tip: in the same building, at the ground level (also basement and first floor) is a BILLA shop where you can eat.||But, there is a huge but, sorry, try not to make reservations during hot weather. There is no air conditioning and in summer the temperature in the rook could be too big. I was in October but I’ve seen in the closet a ventilator. ||So, if you want a charming stay during your trip to Vienna, Pension Neuer Markt could be a solution. I suppose you...
Read moreSimple, easy, basic for a couple of days. I don’t know about you - but me, I barely be in the room when abroad 🙌🏼 this location and hotel was a lovely little stay. There is only a shower in the room we got (the courtyard rooms). Once we closed our door we couldn’t hear anything at all, it felt like the room was sound proof, tv was working perfectly only a few English speaking channels - little kettle also in the room. Breakfast was very average and very basic but I do recommend they get extra toaster even, as I felt there was a lot of pressure getting toast. Perhaps the breakfast staff can hand out tea/coffee and toast to the guests. Bridget’ at reception was fantastic and I’m glad she understood my Irish humour ☘️ very pleasant and couldn’t help us enough so thank you for making us feel so welcome.
Do take note; the beds can probably be hard for some (I found everything extremely clean) and the hotel is at the side of the street so you could easily pass this entrance. There is a lift that goes upstairs it’s small. I would have liked if the hotel had more toilets, overall a great stay and very good for the price, best price around which included breakfast. McDonalds is only 2 minutes away for really cool breakfast and coffee options if...
Read moreGood bits first. The staff were very friendly and helpful Spoke good English. The breakfast staff were excellent. Thank you ladies for all your help. My Chamberlain 3rd floor was very good as well. Cleaned my room lovely. The hotel is in a really good location. Everything you want to visit is just a short troll away. Perfect for sightseeing. I liked the breakfast which was better than some hotels. Now the bad bits. It really needs updating. The hall carpets are appalling. Not dirty but badly stained and threadbare in places. A couple of time of paint in hall ways would also be good. My room , a small single was fine for me but it did need updating. The shower was the smallest shower cubicle I've seen. I am on the larger size so could not move once in. Couldn't even turn to one side. I'm sure even the thinnest of people would suffer as well. The room was clean which is important but with no Air con and it was very very hot it wad uncomfortable. They do supply fans but not really that good and they are noisy. The entrance is not the nicest and easy to miss a small metal iron door. It's a shame because of the size of the shower I won't be going back there. Management. Buy new...
