I had a really unpleasant experience here last night. I came solo to celebrate my birthday and sat at the bar. A few businessmen chatted me up, but after speaking with them for a few minutes, I disengaged from the conversation. After they left, the bartender - who had been chuckling at me all night - commented on the attention they had been paying me. I smiled and agreed that it was a lot. He then asked me “why are you so provocative?” I think this may have been a language barrier - perhaps he meant “flirtatious” - but implying that I had courted an inappropriate amount of attention was unacceptable. When I expressed my frustration later, he essentially told me that European women wouldn’t have spoken to these men at all. I’ve traveled quite a bit to other bars at European cities and I’ve never had any staff at any bar feel as though it was acceptable to comment on my behavior in this way. I appreciate the attempt to apologize. The glass of birthday champagne was nice too, I guess. I would hope that in 2023, bartenders would feel more concerned about ensuring their women patrons feel comfortable than making jokes at their expense, but I guess we’re not there...
Read moreI visited this bar last Saturday with a friend, and unfortunately, it was a terrible experience. I paid for three drinks €45 with my card, but when I checked my bank statement, I was charged €50 — an extra €5 that the server clearly took advantage of, likely because I had been drinking. It’s dishonest and unprofessional!
The first cocktail I ordered was awful, and I couldn’t drink it. The staff didn’t seem to care at all; the drink sat on the table for two hours without anyone addressing it. The second cocktail was decent, but definitely not worth the price.
The bar was extremely crowded, which made it impossible to enjoy our evening. There was no privacy to have a conversation, and the overall atmosphere felt uncomfortable. To make matters worse, the ladies’ restroom was out of service, so we had to use the men’s one. It was dirty, with a lack of hygiene…
I do not...

Open early and stay open late for the booze hound on the go, this charming small-bar has it all. And when i say small, I mean small. I am told that the place is a mere 27sqm, but that does not diminish the size it provides.
Service, atmosphere and drinks, but you gotta be ok with a bit of smoke inside, this is Austria after all. I guess if the weather is pleasant you could take up residence outside under the umbrellas.
Bartender I had managed to make me his two favourite drinks, and Old Fashioned and a Sazerac. He nailed them both and what a great way to step start off the exploration of such a cute little town.
Bathroom is downstairs through some tricky to navigate gates and you had better bring your balance with you.
I said it at the beginning, and I will say it again, one of the top...
