This casino is a SCAM. Why? 2 Reasons.
First, each day of their 20 hours of operation (9am to 5am), new entry fee required of 27 Euro. Even if they gave 30 Euro credits in exchange, what are the chances of winning bets in casino? Best chance in casino is like Roulette Red/Black slightly less than 50% chance of winning, with odds of 2. It is not like soccer bets with safe bets that have odds 1.1, so u can quickly convert 30 Euro credits to 33 Euro cash. So they want to somewhat high chance confirm earn 27 Euro from each entry day of each person.
Second, almost all ATM machines (including the ATM machines in the casino) charges 3.5 Euro fee for Euro cash withdrawal (even if I use another EU country bank card to withdraw my Euro without currency conversion needed at all). What's disgusting is this casino's cash desk also charges 3.5 Euro cash withdrawal fee (even if I requested for purchasing game credits, and not cash) for using my contactless payment on the card payment machine. This is ridiculous. Because when they collected the entry fee of 27 Euro, they did NOT charge the 3.5 Euro fee, and proceed to use the same card payment machine. If they can don't charge the 3.5 Euro fee for the entry fee because they claim "it's purchasing something", then I should be able to purchase game credits as well using same card payment machine, with NO extra fee of 3.5 Euro. So when this casino charges 3.5 Euro for card payment at cash desk, who actually earns this 3.5 Euro? Did they pocket this 3.5 Euro themselves? Just because ATM machines in vienna charges this 3.5 Euro cash withdrawal fee, then it makes them want to earn extra 3.5 Euro themselves? This is just pure scam when they can well not charge such fee, shown by the collection of entry fee and exchange with game credits.
Ridiculous scam casino with monopoly in Vienna. I have played many casino in UK and they did not charge such ridiculous cash withdrawal fee for card payment, and did not force entry fee on each entry day for each person (including foreigners). Don't waste time come such casino. Better off to save your money...
Read moreWe visited in 2018 (7-29-18 and 8-8-18). The first visit went okay and the staff were pleasant. On the first occasion we explored all floors and played several games with no issues on where we played. My wife had won a bonus round and patrons (we can only assume local Viennese) became agitated as the slot machine sound volume increased and you would have thought she was intentionally trying to give them an aneurysm. To be clear we had the volume low at the outset but indeed, if the Viennese are so sensitive to hearing why allow the slot volume to go so high In the first place??? Seems an IQ test. Not sure why so uptight but they had to deal with it as it was out of her control. Had a good time otherwise. Upon our second return we were greeted pleasantly at the front ( no requests or concerns expressed by staff). We wondered up to the third floor where I was rapidly admonished in German by a very crabby floor man. Once I explained I had no idea what he was saying and could he please slow down and speak in English as my German is not fluent, he very rudely asked my to leave as I had broken the rule of having shorts on (the temp Vienna in this day was 93F). Once I understood what he was saying I complied and we asked exited to the main floor for a refund which we were graciously refunded. I have to note how rude the floor servant was; I thought he was going to have a fit. Other staff were friendly. I rate the casino as one star as there were NO SIGNAGE about this rule and no one said anything as I registerered at the desk and paid the compulsory 30€ entry. Further, we have traveled across Western Europe and played at many Casinos and have been advised clearly and politely about the rules at the entrance. We are also frequent visitors to Vegas (where arguably anything goes). While I respect the local customs I do not respect or abide being treated so rudely on more than one occasion. I am more than happy to leave my money elsewhere. I would not recommend on the principle. The issue could have been resolved much more politely and more objectively at the...
Read moreI recently visited Casino Wien and was disappointed by the outdated and overly rigid entry policies that set it apart from casinos worldwide. Despite having already issued me a casino card (using my passport, as required for entry), I was denied access without a physical passport document. I provided my passport in PDF form, along with an official Greek government ID application and my casino card yet both were rejected.
This policy, which seems unique to Casino Wien, lacks transparency and appears poorly communicated—especially for international visitors who don’t expect these issues after initial registration. When I asked the manager for written policy in English, I was met with a vague reference to it being somewhere in German, indicating either a lack of knowledge or a reluctance to address visitor concerns directly. As a frequent traveler, I've never encountered such problems at any casino in Europe, the U.S., or even Russia.
For a casino that should be catering to an international clientele, this experience was disappointing. I’d expect clearer policies, more flexibility, and a better-informed staff to ensure that once you’ve met entry requirements, you’re welcomed back without unnecessary hassle. If you factor all the scammy policies for entry, roulette, blackjack and drinks this casino is definitely thw worst I've visited so far since...
