Been here 2 days ago, Monday April 18th 2023. I only had 2 full days in Vienna and I bought the Vienna Pass so I wanted to check as many attractions as possible. Its format is different from usual attractions, it has only 5-6 rooms each telling different stories about Mozart's life. I really liked the 3D effect in some of the rooms, where the videos are played on the walls or even the floor. Pro tip: Do not get in without an audio guide. I usually don't take advantage of the audio guides at attractions because its making the visit much longer and I usually don't have the time but at Mythos Mozart, the time in each room is standard anyway so you cannot rush through it even if you wanted to and the audio guide makes the experience much better. I visited towards the end of the day, arriving at ~18:15 I had to wait 15 minutes until the next entry started. That time passed quick while I left my bag & jacket in the storage, went to the bathroom & checked my phone shortly. We were only 2 people there which was great for the experience. In each room there's either a couch, a bench or chairs for you to sit on and that was a pleasant break for my legs, being on my feet all day since 7AM.
Totally recommend it if you get the Vienna pass and have like 45 minutes in your schedule, if you are a bit tired and want to rest while also seeing something. Without the pass, the individual price might...
Read moreMythos Mozart is an immersive and modern interpretation of the life and legacy of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, one of the world’s greatest composers. Located on Kärntner Straße, just steps away from St. Stephen’s Cathedral, this multimedia experience is both visually captivating and emotionally engaging.
The exhibition takes visitors through five themed rooms, each representing a distinct phase or influence in Mozart’s life—from his childhood prodigy years to his final days in Vienna. Through a seamless blend of music, projections, scent, and interactive technology, Mythos Mozart brings history to life in a highly sensory way.
One highlight was the room inspired by the Requiem, which surrounds the visitor in a hauntingly beautiful audiovisual tribute. Another room allowed guests to create their own layered soundscape using fragments of Mozart’s compositions.
The entrance fee is included with the Vienna Pass, making it an excellent cultural stop during your time in the city. The entire experience takes about 45–60 minutes, and it's especially suitable for those who enjoy a modern, artistic presentation rather than a traditional museum format.
Highly recommended for both Mozart enthusiasts and casual visitors looking to connect emotionally with Vienna’s...

19 EUR Eintritt für was?
ENGLISH: I was there yesterday and I had to first digest it. A big disappointment. 19 EUR entrance fee for what? I had hoped, if one spends already a scarce hour in it, to learn something new about Mozart or to get at least some kind of compact summary of his life. But no! The whole time only The Magic Flute, A Little Night Music and Requiem were playing. As if he had composed only that? But let's go back to the beginning: The friendly service staff pointed out that the equipment might fail, but we shouldn't run back to miss anything - we should just keep running and enjoy the whole thing visually. This was so bizarre that I didn't really want to believe it. But that got to me. The audio worked until before the first room, and then it stopped working, but I was in by then. I hoped that it would want to go again then, but no. My companion saw my annoyance and repeated then the spoken for me. But here, too, I was baffled: Only little information from Mozart's life instead was briefly described mainly what one finds in the room. So it went until the end, in the last two rooms the accompanying person gave me her device, because she also had no more desire to listen to this garbage. In the end I returned the device with appropriate comment and it came back from the same person in the service area "Oh, I'm sorry about that" - that was all! Not any word more. I was so frustrated that I just didn't want to say anything about it and just shook my head. I have been to a few European cities, but I have not experienced anything like this. The whole concept is simply bad and not even with free entry I would do this to myself again. It's a scandal and I think if Mozart could see this, I'm sure he would be outraged. It's so bad and it's not worth the...
