This is an excellent choice for anybody who is seeking to be treated as if they are garbage.
As far as the menu goes, you will see a burger name, then it is followed by some toppings/sauces. Then you will see another burger name, with roughly the same exact topping/sauces. They don't even have a simple ccheeseburger! No variety whatsoever.
Service? Ah, yes. Perhaps the most important part of any restaurant experience! Put simply, the waiters have no respect for you, judge you, and are impatient.
When we were seated, a waiter came over and handed us menus, and about a minute later, she asked if we were ready to order. We hadn't even opened the menus yet. We were just finishing up a conversation, and she could clearly see that the menus weren't open. We politely said that we weren't, and so she left. Quite literally one minute later, she came back, asking if we were "finally" ready to order. We again, said no, and told her that we would let her know if we were ready. I ordered a burger, and asked for it not to include the "Homemade mayo" (it does NOT say what is in it which was dodgy), the mustard or tomatoes (I simply don't like those on a burger). The waiter proceeded to roll her eyes, and repeat my words with a mocking tone.
The food came, we ate, paid, thanked the waiters, and left. Yes, thank you, Rinderwahn for ruining our...
Read moreThis is my favorite burger chain in Vienna (and I'm quite a well-versed burger fan). I usually went to the one in Naschmarkt, and I couldn't believe I passed their venue in Stephansplatz so many times, so I stopped by this time for lunch. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. For a chain (I mean, even if it's just a couple of venues), you should have a standard for taste and quality.
I ordered a cheeseburger, with a side of coleslaw. The food wasn't inedible, I'm not saying it sucked; the quality of their meat is superior and the meat/topping/bun ratio is perfect. But the patty was flavor-less and slightly watery, the brioche bun lacked that brioche sweetness and the inner toppings (eg. their special mustard sauce) were very sparse. The fries were mediocre at best; not crispy and not soggy...nothing too special. To top it off, this was double the price than I would have paid at the Rinderwahn in Naschmarkt (even though the only difference is that it was served to me on a plate with cutlery).
It's a shame because like I said, the Rinderwahn franchise is honestly a must-try and I wholeheartedly recommend it; just go to their Naschmarkt venue for the full experience. Sad to see their center venue turned into just another...
Read moreThis is how it supposed to be. From first minute you can see here, that they are “meat oriented”. And what “burger” could be if not piece of meat. In this place burgers are prepared really well. Pay attention!! Staff is customer oriented and they are asking for your preference of meat preparation (rare, medium, well done). Its just declare meat quality. For sure I want just not too heavy, not too dry, not too much burned, not too much juicy. And here it is. Very very well balanced piece of all tastes. Meat with vegetables together in bun are acting main role here and you know what? After few bites it comes to your mind only one missing piece that could improve your food, some “french fries”. And here you can find crunchy one right in menu next to your burger. Menu contains just several variants. Basically its alway high quality meat with added gentle flavour of bacon or onion etc... With meal whatever you drink from ala carte you will definitelly not regret visit this place again. For me this burger is with signature. Im happy for you that you pushing it to next...
