What a great french taste in Vienna! The place is located at the heart of Vienna, near St Stephen's square. To be more accurate is in the heart of Neuwe Markt (New Market). Small place with a very nice atmosphere, warm and comfy! Most of the interior is made of wood: tables, chairs, deco, etc. The cheese platter was nicely decorated with fruits (summer fruits in January!!) accompanied by a broad selection of home made breads. The red Beaujolais wine was not only tasteful but it had a great, strong body of aromas! The white sauvignon blanc was as strong as it should be. The best part was the rather low price of both wines and cheese platter! Lemon tart is delightful velvety smooth and fresh Conclusively a place worth visiting when in Vienna! Service was nice and friendly and our table was served on time despite the fact that the place had been full of customers at time of order. Just be aware that payment is to be done in cash only, as good old times!

The place is great, we like to go there often. The goat cheese salad is really good tartines as well. Excellent Lillet coctails. Four stars instead of five due to repeatedly bad poached eggs on avocado toast. Egg yolk overcooked, egg white runny and funny shaped, made in some kind of a mold. Toast very bad qualuty bread and soggy. I tried to give another chance but it turned out the same and for that price I expect much better. Update: When we were paying, they saw the toast was half eaten so they asked if everything was fine. I usually never complain but because I really like the place and I want them to improve what needs improving I told them the eggs were really not good. They were super nice about it and insisted that the drink I was having was on the house. This reminds me that I didn’t previously say that the personel is also very nice every time, so there you go :)

Walk into this coffee shop by chance in search of delicious coffee. I couldn't immediately find the name of this establishment, as the menu shows a completely different name. The price of the eclair dessert is that it is delicious, but for such a price it would be possible to present it in a more interesting way than just putting it on a plate. How about coffee? Delicious. The waiters are friendly and dressed neatly and elegantly. The big downside is that they only accept cash. Which is not very convenient for visitors. The atmosphere is friendly and cozy. Quiet and calm music is playing. The facility is not new, so don't expect everything to be perfect here. I don't think this institution will be my favorite. But it is clear that the owners are trying best.

AVOID the place. I visited Le Bol today with my girlfriend. We had two salads and a beer. My girlfriend discovered a huge insect in her salad. It was a huge bee or a hornet but it had been there for a while because it was soaked in the salad dressing. They must have not checked the lettuce before putting it on the plate. It was impossible that the insect landed there after it was served to the table. We reported this to the waiting staff. They apologised and they were ready to prepare a new dish. My girlfriend was disgusted by almost eating an insect so we didn't want to have this salad any more. They said they would not charge us for it (around 15 euros) but nothing else. At the end they almost forgot about the incident and wanted to add this unfortunate salad to the bill. Ok, this kind of things can happen to all restaurants in the world. We were not making huge deal out of it and didn't complain but the staff could really handle this better. You spend almost 40 euros with them and they pretended like ("it is just nature that insect fly into your plate" said their waitress). For them nothing bad happened and they just shrugged it off. No tip was given and we asked to give us exact change. The waitress looked really disappointed and didn't understand us. Some better customer service would be in order for this situation. First all of some genuine and honest apology and maybe a coffee on the house for not sounding alarm and spoiling the meal for other guests around us. I worked in the gastronomy and we were doing this kind of things for this kind of situation. I would not have posted it with only one star review if they had handled this better. There was no manager available. We simply left. They have good food but poor customer service skills so based on my experience I cannot...

To be honest this place deserves no star at all and its disgusting for it to be in the city center of this beautiful city. I wanted to take my mother to the French bistro thinking that it would be a nice place to have a coffee and some small bites. The bistro was full and it said nowhere “wait to be seated”. I saw a mother leaving with her son and told my mother to come and sit there. Nobody from the staff apparently noticed that we sat there! Once a young staff woman with blonde hair and glasses came and started clearing and cleaning the table behind us. She noticed that there were plates and cups on our table and she asked if we had “enjoyed” our meals. We informed her that we sat there after the two guests had left. To my complete shock she said “This was not intelligent to sit where there are plates and cups from other guests!” She even had the audacity of calling me by an informal way in German (Du instead of SIE) !!!! She then removed the plates and came back and started adding more to her comment made previously by saying “We (staff) cannot see that you guys have sat there and it’s not smart to do that”!! I am extremely sorry but who as a staff member at Kärtnerstraße who has no manners and no training on talking to their guests in a polite manner???? My mother was extremely shocked and pointed out to her saying “I don’t think it’s really nice to say that we aren’t “intelligent” basically calling us “dumb”! The staff girl started laughing and even tried to sugar coat and say “I was only joking”……Are you serious????? My mom and I said I am sorry but you just ruined literally the most important stage within a customer journey. We stood up without enjoying anything and left! I am extremely shocked and disappointed that...

Service is appalling. We started with a waiter outside who couldn’t have been less friendly. He said no tables are available at the moment and no effort to check inside with collègues or communicate if any table will be available soon. We decided to enter inside and check for tables ourselves as we were quite hungry. Eventually we found a table. Ourselves. We made an order, soon coffee arrived. Waiter spilled the whole cup of hot coffee on my friend and didn’t even apologize. The coffee cup literally bounced at the table and spilled all over my friend. We got lucky she wasn’t wearing white.. still not sure if all the coffee stains will go away. Manager or admin offered his apologies after we asked how will the situation be managed, and offered my friend’s lunch on the house. Eventually we waited at least half an hour for our food. I understand coffee spilling is not on purpose but it was very unpleasant and some server’s behavior is unprofessional! P.S. while cleaning clothes in the bathroom, we saw eclairs being taken out of staff door (which is in the bathroom) to the restaurant.. you might wanna...
