I liked the concept of sleeping pods—it’s a creative and affordable idea. Check-in was easy with an email containing my pod number and door code. The shared bathrooms were clean, and each pod had nice extras like a TV, headphones, and a towel. The location near the main train station is convenient, and the locker system, including access after checkout, was helpful.
However, my experience inside the pod was horrible. The pods were dusty and didn’t feel properly cleaned beyond just changing the sheets—I even found a booger stuck on the wall, which really made me question hygiene. As someone with allergies, I struggled to breathe despite the ventilation holes, and this affected my health.
Soundproofing was terrible. I wore earplugs to block noise, but sound still echoed around the room, making it very hard to sleep. I could also hear every little sound from the person in the pod below me, which made it hard to rest. To make things worse, 1:45 AM on a Monday, some guests came in shouting and talking loudly for nearly an hour non-stop without any consideration for those trying to rest. Because of this noise and the poor air quality, I barely slept and ended up sick the next day.
While I think the pod concept has potential, the poor cleanliness, bad sound isolation, and allergy-unfriendly environment made my stay uncomfortable and unhealthy. I wouldn’t recommend it, especially if you need proper rest before traveling.
---- Note to other travelers: If you’re considering staying here, please be mindful that the sound isolation is very poor—so every noise, even quiet talking, can be heard by others. Just because everyone has their own pod doesn’t mean you're in a private space, which allows you to scream around. Try to be respectful and keep noise to a minimum, especially at night, so everyone can...

Read moreThere was only one available locker, and it had no key. |Also there was no AC, at least not working. I told the man who worked there, but he just shrugged and said the key should be there somewhere (it wasn't). |The sheet had hair and stains on it. But worst was the extreme noice from the street! It was as the walls where made of paper, I even heard what people on the street said! Robin Wood Apartments are obviously aware of this, because there was a large container with earplugs in the wall - but they don't bother to inform about this on any website. Since the staff didn't bother to present a locker with key, I realised they wouldn't care about stains, hair or extreme noice either, so I had to find another place to stay. Costed me a lot more, ofcourse, but at least I got a clean bed, somewhere safe to keep my luggage, AC and normal...
