As a frequent traveler who has visited more than 37 countries, I can confidently say that Le Méridien Bahrain City Centre offers some of the most outstanding service I’ve experienced anywhere. The thoughtful attention to detail and personalized service make this hotel truly exceptional and the reason I keep coming back.
Dining & Breakfast: The breakfast at Baharat is always a highlight of our stay. The staff are incredible, especially Anuj, who customized my tea every day to perfection, and another wonderful lady I think Deepa was her name , who was kind enough to cut my child’s food into small pieces without us even asking. Their care and thoughtfulness make dining here a delightful and personal experience every morning. It’s this level of attention that stands out and makes us feel so welcomed.
Attention to Detail: What really sets Le Méridien apart is their extraordinary attention to the little things. For instance, whenever I used valet parking, the team made sure to turn off the AC and engine before parking the car. Small, thoughtful gestures like this show their dedication to service, something I haven’t seen in many other hotels worldwide.
Exceptional Service: The staff’s commitment to ensuring everything is perfect is evident in every interaction. Virendrh consistently checked in to make sure our stay was going smoothly, and his attentiveness made us feel truly valued.
Personalized Care: The level of personalized care at Le Méridien is truly unmatched. From cutting my child’s food to warming baby food for us without hesitation, the hotel goes above and beyond in ways that most other hotels simply wouldn’t, especially on busy or weekend nights when similar services would often be denied elsewhere. Their willingness to accommodate every request, even during the busiest times, makes this hotel stand out. It’s rare to find such personalized attention, and it’s one of the main reasons I won’t stay anywhere else in Bahrain.
Location: The hotel’s convenient location, directly connected to Bahrain City Centre Mall, makes it perfect for shopping and dining. It’s also near major attractions, making it ideal for both business and leisure travelers.
Rooms: The rooms are spacious and modern, offering great city views and luxurious amenities. Housekeeping does an excellent job maintaining cleanliness, and the beds are extremely comfortable, ensuring a restful night.
Valet and Concierge Services: The valet service is exceptional, as they pay attention to even the smallest details, like turning off the AC and engine when parking. The concierge team is always efficient and helpful, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience.
A Minor Issue with Reservations: The only issue I faced during my stay was with the reservations department. As a Marriott Member, I initially booked directly with the hotel but later found a lower rate on Agoda. Unfortunately, the lady at reservations wasn’t very helpful when I explained the situation, so I proceeded with the third-party booking. Despite the non-refundable policy with Marriott, the hotel was kind enough to cancel my original booking when I checked in, which further reinforced why I love staying here.
Overall Experience: Le Méridien Bahrain continues to deliver an exceptional experience with its thoughtful service, attention to detail, and personal care. From the breakfast team who went out of their way to accommodate us, to the incredible valet service, every aspect of our stay was flawless. Despite a minor reservation issue, the hotel’s flexibility and outstanding customer service ensured we had a memorable stay. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bahrain—it’s truly one of the best I’ve stayed at globally.

Read moreStayed at this hotel for 8 nights, and I really enjoyed my stay. Was upgraded to on of their Oriental Suites - not the most up to date in terms of furniture or colour schemes, but very spacious and comfortable. Really appreciated this nice gesture! Large living room with coffeemachine, dining table, sofa, tv and a guest bathroom. Large bedroom with a very comfortable bed and chair, walk in closet, and a large bathroom with double vanitiy, a walk in shower and a separate deep soaking tup.
Helpful staff. The ladies responsible for the club lounge and lobby bar were amazing! Club lounge is on 11th floor with nice views, Food and drinks are served to your table by the attendant (she said self service might come back soon). Food and beer/wine from 6 PM till 8 PM. Soft drinks, coffee and snacks are available all day. The food served during the happy hour was plentiful, and could easily make a full dinner.
Lobby bar is hidden away, and a quite dark room filled with smoke. But a good selection of alcoholic drinks, and a selection of draft and bottles beers. I enjoyed a few chilled draft beers here. They have an outdoor pool bar too, but unfortunately, it closes at 9 PM.
The hotel shares pool facilities with the Westin next door. The pool is large and deep, and looks really nice, but it's TOO cold.... I have never experienced such cold pool in the Middle East....and I managed to force myself into it a couple of times, but not very comfortable. The jacuzzi is nice though!
Breakfast served every day till 11 AM. To be honest I don't feel that the breakfast here is up to the standards I have found at other LeMeridien locations in the region. Items weren't replentished, exchanged, refreshed, etc in a timely manner and other items weren't of good quality. I never got to taste their foul madamas for example, since it was always empty. Their omelette station was good though.
The hotel, and the room, felt very clean. Housekeeping always seemed to forget something, like new towels, more coffeepads, shampoo and so on....and some days I received turndown service, another days I didn't.
Great location! With direct access to Bahrain City Centre Mall through the lobby - here you have loads of options for coffee and food, a state of the art cinema, a huge Carrefour, and so on.
I will definitely return to this hotel, and I do look...
Read moreAlthough I usually rate Marriott hotels much higher, I am afraid I was a little disappointed this time.
The front of house staff (especially Habib), the bar staff (especially Rahul) were great and the lady working in the lounge was exceptional. However, I was very disappointed with the breakfast service on my last day.
First of all, the breakfast area was so busy they could not accommodate me inside so asked me if I would mind sitting outside the dining area in the foyer, which I kindly obliged. However, little did I know that trying to get served would be so difficult.
I was quite surprised as I was not even ordering food. I only wanted a coffee and a glass of juice. My coffee and juice arrived but neither were what I ordered. Nevertheless, I still drank them. I then tried to order the coffee I originally asked for. As nobody was attending to me as I was not sitting in the dining area, I got up to ask for my coffee. In total I did this 3 possibly 4 times and after a wait of over 30 minutes I decided to leave.
The lady who was seating people noticed I was upset and leaving and came to apologise. She was incredibly embarrassed and very sorry as she was one of the people I asked for a coffee - not once but twice. It was clearly not her fault as she had been running around showing people to tables. However, she did ask one of the waiters to get my coffee and I spoke to two of the waiters directly. I do not blame them as they were so busy but the blame does lie with Marriott. They apparently were offering free breakfast to many of the guests but did not take into account the seating and the staffing needed to do this. As a result, patrons like myself end up getting substandard service. This is not typical of Marriott and I understand things like this happen but I feel if guests do not make management aware, then this oversight may well...
