Absolutely Outstanding Experience at The Butcher Shop & Grill!

From the moment we stepped into *The Butcher Shop & Grill, we knew we were in for something special—but what truly made our dining experience unforgettable was our incredible server, Jessica.

The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, with just the right mix of elegance and comfort. The aroma of freshly grilled meats filled the air, setting our appetites into full gear. But beyond the food and the atmosphere, it was Jessica’s genuine warmth, attentiveness, and exceptional professionalism that truly stole the show.

Jessica greeted us with a radiant smile and made us feel like honored guests from the very start. She walked us through the menu with enthusiasm, offering insightful recommendations that matched our tastes perfectly. Her timing was impeccable—always present when we needed her but never intrusive. It’s a rare skill to make a guest feel so well taken care of without overstepping, and Jessica has clearly mastered that balance.

The manager at this restaurant is extremely awesome!

I submitted a review about a week ago in regards to the biltong I ordered twice were molded quickly. I didn't think much of it or expect anything, only wanted to raise awareness.

A couple days later, the manager went out of his way to make contact with me and offered to make it up for my lost when I order again.

So I did, today I ordered my dinner through The Butchershop and took up the offer. Now when my delivery arrived, I was overwhelmed with the compensation. I only expected it to be something small, but they packed a whole kg of droewors and biltong and extra side dishes to go with my order. I was impressed!

I'm impressed at their level to make things right. I'm impressed at their determination to reach out to unhappy customers. I'm also impressed at their genuiness. It shows that they care. They care about their products, they care about their customers, and they care about what they represent. I now feel very very safe ordering food through this restaurant.

I have many points I want to discuss for my low review. Firstly, when we arrived, we found a table. There was nobody to escort us to our table which was fine until we chose a table and there was a dirty tray on the chair. We brushed that off and just put the tray away. I wanted to order the oreo milkshake, but that wasn’t available so i got the vanilla, but that tasted like milk with vanilla extract and wasn’t good at all. The worst part was that we found MOLD in our food. We ordered a streak with the side of baked potato, and we ate it but when we were halfway done, we noticed mold in our potato. When we let the waitress know she said it was normal and has happened more than once today. This was unbelievable so we decided to call the manager, but he goes along and also says that it’s normal and that it has happened earlier today. They also didn’t do anything about it and they wanted to charge us fully for the food. This was a horrible experience and I do not...
