Hotel Silver Bay – Disappointing Experience
My stay at Hotel Silver Bay was far from what I expected. While the location is convenient, being close to the beach and local attractions, the overall experience left much to be desired.
Room Condition The room I was assigned was not well-maintained. The cleanliness was questionable, with dust and dirt in various corners, and the bathroom had plumbing issues that resulted in a persistent odor. The furniture was outdated and looked worn out, which contributed to a lack of comfort during my stay.
Service Quality The service at the hotel was disappointing. The staff seemed untrained and were not very responsive to guest requests. There were times when I needed assistance, but it took a long time for someone to help me. The overall attitude of the staff felt indifferent, which added to the frustration.
Dining Experience The dining options at Hotel Silver Bay were also lacking. The breakfast buffet had limited choices, and the food quality was below average. Items were often cold and lacked flavor, making it hard to enjoy the meals. The restaurant staff was slow to replenish items, leading to long waits for basic food options.
Overall Experience Overall, my experience at Hotel Silver Bay was disappointing. With its potential as a beachfront property, the hotel failed to deliver on essential aspects like cleanliness, service, and food quality. I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience, and I hope they can address these issues for...
Read moreThe outlook of the hotel might attract you but the services are worst compared to many other hotels in Cox's Bazar. I went there on 13th February and booked two rooms for 3000. They showed me the room, but even at 3pm the rooms were not yet been cleaned to stay. Even though I chose to stay because it was closer to the sea beach. The manager and staffs were not even apologizing for their delay. We had to call the room service several times for many issues. There were no tissue, soap, shampoo and towel at first. They brought it afterwards but the towel was not in good condition. You have to check out at 11am whether other hotels allow you one hour more. The next day they rushed a lot to get us out and have new guests for 14th February. I think you all know the commercial importance of 14th February!!! We were stuck in a critical situation outside and requested them to let us stay one more hour. They did not allow that, moreover behaved very rudely instead. The staffs are too unfriendly and their behavior will surprise you for sure. If you get to know other better hotels in Cox's Bazar then you will get the differences between them and know the dark side of this hotel. Anyway, this is my honest review on the pros and cons about the hotel and I highly recommend not to stay...
Read moreI recently stayed at the Hotel, but unfortunately, it was not a good experience. There were several problems during my stay, including the air conditioning not working because the hotel intentionally turned off the electricity, a broken geyser, and the staff behaving poorly.
The biggest issue was that the hotel purposely turned off the electricity, which meant the air conditioning didn't work. It was really hot and uncomfortable in my room(36 degree temperature), and I couldn't sleep or relax properly. I told the hotel staff about it, but they didn't do anything to fix the problem. It was very disappointing that the hotel would do something like that, maybe to save money or make things difficult for guests like me who wanted a comfortable stay.
Another problem was that the geyser in my room didn't work. I couldn't get hot water for showers, which was very inconvenient. A working geyser is something that should be available in a hotel, but unfortunately, it wasn't.
On top of all that, the hotel staff didn't behave well. They were not professional and didn't help me with my concerns. Whenever I talked to them about the AC and geyser problems, they didn't listen and didn't seem to care. It made the whole experience even worse and made me feel like they didn't value...
