this is a hard one for me to review. It's a hotel with good, friendly staff...the rooms are spacious (we had a little apartment with two bedrooms, a sitting area and a small kitchen area). The prices aren't bad. There are fairly stunning views of the sea from at least some of the rooms. Wi-Fi is better in some rooms than in others. There are really no mattresses on the beds. We had two different rooms, the first one had just a thick pad on a wooden platform, the second one had something that looked like a mattress but was as hard as a wooden board. The pillows are like rocks (or at least bordering on that). Given the "comfort" of the room, I think that their discounted prices were a bit high. The hotel is far from town and that lovely beach you can see? It's quite hard to walk to. Breakfast was one of two variations every day, not that it was bad, but being from India, it's strange to find chicken bones in the daal. There is no transportation available to the airport. The first room (603) had a terribly inconsistent Wi-Fi connection. The second room (901) had a good Wi-Fi connection but the bathroom water never got hot in the front room. 603 also seemed to be a bit moldy in the bedroom on the right. When I checked in, I was willing to pay my expected bill up front. They only took a deposit and there was no problem using a foreign credit card. Then, the day before we were leaving, I was asked to pay the balance of the bill. I was happy to do that. Then, three minutes later, he phoned to tell me I'd have to pay in cash. I did not have that cash available and it was raining quite hard. This caused unnecessary stress. When I went down to see about paying, he didn't have real trouble finding a credit card machine that worked. I'm unlikely to choose this...
Read moreThis place is an excellent spot for tourists looking for the best services, chill stay, and decent exploration possibilities. It's a little out of the way but that's the fin of it. Doesn't have a direct path to the beach, but a bit to the side for adventurous people only. Restaurant and room service are always on point, the staff are extremely courteous, friendly and trained for customer service. Rooms are legendary, they have an old rustic Cox's bazaar vibe compared to the more luxurious and chic. We stayed at the couple honeymoon suite facing the sea, in all my years of coming to Cox's bazar, this place has impressed me tremendously. You get a lot of services for very affordable rates. Heavily recommended, sometimes felt like I was in a cruise ship. You might experience a little delay on arrival, like we did, but the rest of it was comfortable and smooth sailing and relaxing...
Read moreI'm living here long-term, 1 year. The hotel is by the sea so some rooms have sea views and surf sound. I think that the hotel is run fairly well because any minor problems I've had have been resolved quickly. Lots of short-term holiday people from Dhaka come December-March; otherwise it's quiet. There is a swimming pool that gets a little murky until they change the water, maybe weekly. The restaurant is ok, nothing special, but they do room service. The sheets and towels are clean and the WiFi is netflix-capable. There is cable/satélite TV with lots of channels, almost all Bengali. Off-season you might be able to haggle a reasonable room cost. It’s a bit of a walk to where the action is in town and the beach is not as easy to get to as you’d think with the hotel so...
