The Demanding Guest
My stay at the Long Beach Hotel was nothing less than exceptional. I enjoyed every minute I stayed at the hotel. The five start treatment started from the moment I landed at the Cox Bazzar airport and did not stop.
I was received from the airport with my name printed (I did not expect this in Bangaladesh). The person who picked me up was very professional and polite. We had a wonderful conversation in the car and I was given an overview of the hotel and its facilities (which included a swimming pool and a sauna.
When I arrived at the hotel my wife and I were given complimentary drinks whilst we checked in. The person who received me from the airport helped me to my room and listened carefully as I made a suggestion regarding one of their phone operator. They took my suggestion every seriously and made me feel like I was heard (I could not ask for anything else).
Although I was already checked in and there was limited space they were able to accommodate a guest of mine who were staying at a seperate hotel. I took them to the pool and they were very impressed with the service and decided to book a room at the hotel. As I mentioned before there were limited rooms available but the stuff managed to give me one room.
My guests (my sister-in-law and her husband) were here on their Honeymoon and I had an idea on making their stay very special. I asked the stuff to decorate the room and asked for a cake. The next day my guest checked-in having no idea of the arrangement I made. I took my guest out for the day while the room was being prepared. I came to the hotel before my guest and checked the room. As the title suggest I was very demanding, I asked for a taller table which was available in my room. The stuff were exceptional and bought the table to my guests’ room from my room and the decoration was wonderful (words cannot describe how amazing the room looked). I was jealous of fact that I did not come here for my Honeymoon (for my Honeymoon I went to Kolkata and stayed at the Taj Bengal Hotel there).
Words cannot describe how much I appreciate the work the stuff put in to make this the most special stay I have ever experienced I would like to thank them again (although it would never be enough).
Nothing is ever perfect, and there is always room for improvement. In the case of this hotel there is very little to improve. The five start treatment I received from this hotel was exceptional and I I cannot thank the stuff enough; however, this review is a start. I hope that all the guest in the hotel feel the same as I do. This hotel serves at a international level and I have seen many foreign guest (including myself) that have stayed at the hotel.
Kindest Regards,

Read moreWe stayed at Long Beach Hotel for one night, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. We were three persons and stayed in a room with a double bed, and an additional single bed was provided. The room was well-equipped with a small refrigerator, LED television, air conditioner (cooling, heating, fan mode), and an intercom to communicate with reception, restaurant, and housekeeping. There was also a sofa with two chairs, table lamps, universal 8-pin power outlets, and a balcony. For tea lovers, the room had an electric kettle with milk, green tea, black tea, and cups. The attached bathroom was well-maintained, with a separate shower area and provided essentials like shower gel, shampoo, soap, towels, toothbrushes, and toothpaste. A western toilet pan and a sink with liquid hand wash were also available. The security features were impressive. Instead of a conventional metal key, our room door had a swipe key system. Additionally, there was a password-protected locker inside the room for storing valuables. The service was exceptional. Any housekeeping request (water, milk, mosquito spray, cleaning, etc.) was addressed immediately upon calling reception. The prayer room was air-conditioned, neat, and well-maintained, making it a peaceful place to pray. We enjoyed the modern and well-maintained swimming pool and gymnasium. The complimentary buffet breakfast was wonderful, with a variety of delicious and mouthwatering items. The watermelon and papaya juices were outstanding! The staff, from receptionists to housekeepers and restaurant waiters, were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel allows customers to store luggage securely for a certain time before or after check-in/check-out. The welcome drinks (juices) at reception were heavenly! A few aspects could be improved. The billiard table charges (1000 BDT per hour) felt unreasonable—it should be complimentary for guests. The laundry service is also paid, which would have been a great complimentary addition. Overall, Long Beach Hotel provided a comfortable stay with excellent service and amenities. The friendly staff, delicious breakfast, and clean facilities made it a great experience. However, minor improvements, such as complementary recreational activities and laundry service, would enhance the guest experience even further. Would I recommend it? Yes,...

Location: Long Beach Hotel is centrally located, just a short distance from Cox’s Bazar’s main attractions, including the beach. It’s easily accessible from the city center and provides a peaceful environment while still being close enough to enjoy the bustling beach town.
Rooms: The rooms are spacious, modern, and well-furnished, providing a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. My room had a partial sea view, which added to the overall experience. The cleanliness and attention to detail in the room preparation were noticeable, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. The bathrooms were well-maintained, equipped with all essential toiletries, and offered a good balance between luxury and practicality.
Amenities: One of the best aspects of the hotel is its wide range of amenities. The hotel boasts a large swimming pool, a gym, and a rooftop garden with spectacular views. There’s also a spa for relaxation, which I found to be an excellent retreat after a long day at the beach. The on-site restaurant offers a variety of international and local dishes, with a buffet option that is both diverse and delicious. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, and it worked reliably during my stay.
Service: The service at Long Beach Hotel is exceptional. The staff are professional, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure guests have a pleasant stay. From check-in to check-out, the experience felt seamless, and any requests I made were promptly addressed.
Price: While the hotel is on the pricier side compared to budget options in Cox’s Bazar, it offers good value for money given the quality of the rooms, service, and amenities. It’s an ideal choice for those seeking a more luxurious stay without compromising on comfort or location.
