What an amazing time it was to experience Intrepid, the new fine dining restaurant at The Fairmont Princess in Bermuda. The decor and ambience were captivating from the moment we walked in.
Their signature Smokey Old Fashion was an incredible cocktail and the perfect way to start the evening. You even get to choose the type of wood they smoke your cocktail with table side. Oh la la.
The service at Intrepid was incredible. The sommelier Lloyd introduced us to their new digital wine list on VINU. Simply the best way to discover his superb wine cellar at Intrepid and explore the many options that best suit your wine preferences and meal selections. Truly one of a kind. A wine list where every bottle is good to the last drop!!
Marylin our server was just the best. She is very friendly, welcoming, & charming, with a vast product knowledge & had the best recommendations from the menu that did not disappoint.
The raw bar had fresh delicious oysters & the Hamachi Crudo was melt in your mouth. So many other seafood options like as well you may have to come back several times in order to taste them all.
All of the steak selections were very impressive. They have so many mouth watering sauces to pair with whatever cut you choose. My 6oz Tenderloin (Pittsburg Style) & Lobster tail were cooked to perfection. The sides were ALL just outstanding and you won’t be disappointed with any of them. The wine suggested by Lloyd was amazing and paired with our meal perfectly. Merci Merci
We barely had enough room for dessert but oh was it worth it. The 007 layer chocolate cake and Strawberry 5 ways were perfection. My hats off to the Chef and crew for an amazing dining experience start to finish.
Intrepid is a must for anyone coming to Bermuda, even if you’re not staying at the Fairmont Princess. However it does wonders having a short trip down the beautiful halls to one of the stunning rooms there, after a night enjoying the amazing culinary experience that is Intrepid.
Can’t wait to come...
Read moreI wish I could say better about this place.. The bartenders are awesome, I tipped them better than the waiter. The waiter deceived us multiple times but offered a big shiny box to pick a knife from. Unfortunately they don't devein their shrimp and they don't include in the menu that their $148 steak includes a rather large bone and lots of fat (ie last two pieces on the right) quite a sad experience to spend $384 and then the next day get a text saying they didn't charge me accordingly and then accidentally charging my card and well now we're here. I was fine with the experience until they messaged me from the bar page and told me they charged me incorrectly. As a tourist I feel taken advantage of. A beautiful scenery, beautiful art and beautiful barkeep. But the managers here are repulsive. For $52 shrimp I damn well expect it to not include poop especially as a cocktail For $12 for bread - you should mention you have a charge For $148 for steak and mentioning ribeye you should mention it has a large bone & call it a bone-in steak Turns out I was the wrong customer to be overcharged. Bravo bravo bravo 👏
To make matters even funnier I rescinded this review last month after Howard the manager contacted me, apologized and offered to comp the meal. (I never asked for this) his team has sent over a payment authorization form for me to complete to achieve this. Again totally backwards. Jennifer Stovell has no decency and I don’t care about the money so I’m just here to inform everyone of the total lack of professionalism and total tourist trap that this place strives to be....
Read moreWhat a wonderful restaurant! The restaurant itself is just gorgeous and it’s only complimented by its incredible staff. From your first steps into the restaurant until your last steps out first class all the way. Having dined here twice on our vacation, it has become our favorite restaurant on the island. our server, Ashley was phenomenal, very attentive, knowledgeable, and so pleasant. The appetizers were amazing .. pork belly and rum sauce, fresh oysters, Spider roll with softshell crab, and the finest French onion soup I think I’ve had . The mushroom and gnocchi perfection and the Tonarelli pasta with the tomato fondue was absolutely exquisite! We’ve also Thoroughly enjoyed the strip sampler of Waygu beef! Of course, dessert did not disappoint the lemon meringue cheesecake the chocolate cake, the sticky pudding worth every calorie and to top it off they surprise you with freshly made truffles at the end of your meal! Sorry to ruin the surprise for everyone🫢 And this review comes from an executive chef… So take that with a little grain of sea salt😂 And finally, not enough can be said about Lloyd An incredible part of the staff of the Intrepid. I cannot imagine dining would be the same in this restaurant if it were not for Lloyd! Such a professional, so knowledgeable attentive And anticipates any need that you may have before you even know it. A true gentleman he escorted my wife down the stairway to the restroom while he had a full restaurant. Above and beyond never to be forgotten… cheers🥂...
