Crown & Anchor — Restaurant in Main Island

We visited Crown & Anchor last night (a Monday) and were surprised to find it absolutely packed—turns out it was trivia night, which made for a fun and lively atmosphere. We ended up sitting outside, which was perfect for us and offered a more relaxed vibe.

The food was fantastic. I had the Wagyu burger with fries, and I’m honestly still dreaming about it. The fries came with a spicy mayo dip that our wonderful server recommended—and wow, what a combo. Every bite was indulgent and satisfying.

Speaking of service, our server truly made the evening memorable. She was a friendly and engaging Filipina who not only made great food and drink suggestions but also took the time to chat and recommend some great places to visit during our stay. Her warmth and energy really elevated the entire experience.

To finish, we tried the chocolate chip cookie with chocolate ice cream—another excellent recommendation. It was rich, gooey, and perfectly paired with the ice cream. Just thinking about it makes me want to go back for more.

My wife and I just had lunch and would like to share a few notes. Our waiter, Eduardo, was fantastic. Very kind and attentive. He answered all of our questions and could not have been any more helpful. My hummus, falafel and added tofu was perfect. Both filling and delicious. Unfortunately the hostess did not make us feel welcome. When my approached her, she was talking with another lady who may have been a hostess. Neither said hi or asked if they could help. When asked if a table for 2 would be available, we were seated quickly. We sat outside and noticed the screen was lowered to protect other people from the wind and asked if our screen could be lowered and she said that she would lower it. She didn't. When she sat a family next to us, I kindly asked her again and she said that she would but she didn't. Finally, I asked my waiter ( Eduardo) and he did it instantly. When we visit Bermuda, the Hamilton Princess is always our place to eat and enjoy the incredible art work. I really hope that this helps to let the people operating a business know the importance of a friendly staff. We ate on Saturday at noon...
