Fernando is mainly pousadas, which I had never experienced before. When I arrived, it was just like a bed and breakfast. I was traveling on my own and only knew a bit of Portuguese. The Pousada Del Mares put up with my horrible attempts at their language and politely answered back in simple spanish i could understand - bless them! They helped with all my arrangements and transportation needs on the island with a smile on their face. The managers were clearly saviors for my amazing trip! Thank you again! The room was so nice and clean with a nice bathroom. Don't come to Fernando expecting 5 star - the pousadas are low key and are all you need! I just came back from Noronha and after looking for more than 2 months for a nice "pousada" I booked "Del Mares", directly with the owner, Pedro Henrique. I'm so glad I did and stayed with them. Service is fantastic! Pedro is always taking care of his guests. He took me back to the airport himself. The breakfast is amazing! I thought it was going to be like an American continental breakfast and I was so wrong. The pousada had bread, juices, tapioca, a variety of sweets, fruits, tea, coffee, ham, cheese and around 4pm they were always serving sweets and a drink for the guests to be able to socialize.
