We chose Janeiro hotel for its location and the quality of the reviews. It didn’t disappoint! Janeiro is right on the beach at Leblon. Complimentary bikes are available for two hours and they also have a complimentary beach kiosk service directly in front which we recommend. The hotel is close to the metro which is handy.||The breakfast is of a high quality although slightly expensive. The breakfast room offers sweeping views over the beach.||The positive revelation of Janeiro was the staff: they are friendly, caring and professional, operating with military precision. Felipe, the manager, is super friendly and professional, as are Miro and Ferrara on the front. Gabriel helped us purchase tickets at the last minute to a concert at the Theatro Municipal which we greatly appreciated.||A couple of specific examples:||1. When we mentioned to Marianna that there was an issue with the lack of natural light in the bathroom, she offered us another room.||2. My partner became suddenly quite unwell when we were out of town for the day. These situations in another country can be overwhelming and concerning, however the staff were exceptional in going to the pharmacy, and helping us navigate a visit in the late evening to the emergency section of the local hospital (in particular Tiago, Carol, Carmilla, Manuella, Gabriel), but also checking on us in the ensuing days. I just got back from a trip to Rio and had the most amazing stay at Janeiro Hotel. Here's why I think it's a fantastic choice:||||Location: The hotel is right by the beach, which was perfect for morning walks and watching the sunset. It's also close to lots of great places to eat and shop, so we never had to go far for anything.||||Rooms: Our room was super comfortable with a stunning view of the ocean. It was clean, modern, and had everything we needed, including a really nice bathroom.||||Service: The staff here are great. Everyone from the front desk to the cleaning team was friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a good time. They even helped us book a couple of tours and gave us some great recommendations for local spots to check out.||||Amenities: We loved the pool area - it's a great spot to relax after a day of exploring. The hotel also has a gym and a restaurant that serves some really tasty food with a good mix of local dishes and international options.||||Overall: Janeiro Hotel made our Rio visit extra special. I was so happy I picked Janeiro Hotel. It’s located in a very safe area of Rio with the beach directly across the street and walking distance to many shops and restaurants. I felt very safe during the day but I opted for Ubers to go anywhere at night at the advice of everyone I talked to. I loved the rooftop pool and bar area. The restaurant was fantastic and I was really impressed with the cocktails as well. The service was exceptional and the room was fantastic.
