Hotel Residence City Garden — Hotel in Plovdiv

Absolutely 5 stars, with exceptional quality and outstanding service!

Impeccable design and brilliant location. Remarkably quiet, for a hotel in the city center. Close to entertainment, galleries, restaurants. Bedding was amazing, so soft and comfortable - slept like a baby. Two types of pillows on the bed and more on request. My husband and I liked the little extras such as the complimentary bottles of water and amazing homemade oats, chia and honey biscuits. Beautifully done bathroom, with extras again, such as cleansing milk, body lotion, in addition to the lovely Bulgarian Rose shower gel, soup, etc. Lots of thick, fluffy towels and bathroom robes - not as most hotels with just one bath and hand towel per person!​

The restaurant, with its garden terrace is a great feature of the hotel - the staff is so friendly, and makes you feel like home. Furnished in incredibly stylish decor - the white piano and the many Bulgarian artists paintings made the dinners there our favorite time of ​o​ur stay. Fantastic menu (we were told it is changed every few months), ​excellent food and service.

I am a choosey person. I like luxury and it is really difficult to give a 5 star hotel the highest rating if even a slight glitch would be present and noticed. With Residence City Garden, I have to admit, I could not find one. This is probably the best hotel in Bulgaria. Real 5 stars. Yes, there is no gym, spa and pool but who cares. You are in the absolute center of the city and everything you need is at a walking distance. I am not going to praise the perfection of the interior design and the high quality of the room furniture, carpet, bathroom and ammenities. Everything is just perfect ! You do not hear anything coming from the street...not that the street is noisy. The NOBEL restaurant matches the location and hotel spirit. Highest quality gourmet cousine by Chef Shishkov that will be a gift to any 5 star Michelin restaurant. To wrap it up, this is a hotel that is best of the best. If you can afford the price( not as high as you probably would expect) then look no more and when in Plovdiv, just book Residence Cit6 Garden. You will enjoy ever6 minute of yoour stay and will come back...

I rarely comment on my travel or purchases. But I could not pass on writing a review on Garden Residence. I never heard about Plovdiv before, but now I will be happy to come to this lovely town again and stay at the Garden residence. The hotel is small, but mighty. My wife and I stayed there 6 nights and I can easily say that it was an absolute pleasure from any point of view. The room- just great! I was comfortable seating and working there for several long days. The showier, bathtub, bed, view, room lights, everything was well designed and furnished. The people- the whole team was great. The people at the reception, restaurant and room service were wonderful. Kind, friendly and helpful with any need you may have. Food-very reasonably priced and tasty. We ate there 3 dinners and every breakfast. Everything was tasty and fresh. Location-perfect. No other word to describe it. Next to a beautiful park, downtown shopping area, old town and on. If you come to Plovdiv, consider this place to be on top...
