Just returned from a short stay in Sofia. This hotel is in a great location. It's a short walk from Vitosha Boulevard and basically next door to Serdika metro station. All of the city centre sights and train station are within walking distance. Any staff we encountered were very helpful with recommendations for bars and detailing the facilities. The spa is a nice feature. When we went to use it on our last day, the friendly male receptionist advised that the had just cleared the filter in the pool and it may not be that warm yet. We went anyway and he was correct but it wasn't a big deal for us. The rooms are fairly basic and old fashioned but perfectly serviceable and clean which is the main thing. It was certainly good value for the price paid. Didn't have any food in the hotel so can't comment on that. The lobby bar is decent and you can enjoy a beer outside on the pavement. The rooms are accessed by key card and on our last evening we discovered that the door actually didn't lock behind us! So in terms of security that is a little bit concerning. We didn't raise it with staff as we were leaving the next day anyway. Be aware if you are returning to the hotel late at night that the front door gets locked and you may have to wait a while for someone to come down to let you in. Plenty of bars and restaurants close by. I would definitely stay here again if I was to return to Sofia but room doors...
Read moreMy brother booked this hotel and 2 days ago we checked in to our room.We were sitting in front of the hotel and 2 hours later we went to the room and all of our stuff were gone( our passports, charger and airpods and our backpacks these were all the things we brought with us since we came to renew our passports and gonna stay for only 2 nights.) The woman in the reception seemed to didn’t care that much,we told her to check the cameras and she said she cant cause the manager wasnt there so she called her and the manager didn’t come :).We called the police they came but still the manager didnt come(He or She is the only one who can check the camera room) Then they said there was an electric problem and it went off for 15-20 minutes and we were outside ,in front of the hotel so we didnt see and then they said the camera room was left open and someone must’ve snuck in there(suspicious since they could’ve deleted the footage) We wanted a refund and the receptionist woman was barely convinced??? We insisted then she accepted it but they still didnt send the refund(its been 2 days) If you’re planning to book this hotel cause its very central and kinda cheap, just don’t everything there...
Read moreDear All,||After several attempts (by emails and by calls that finally were ignored) we can not saying anything else...as the hotel staff stolen our small boy’s mascot - his favorite toys ! |Just after we have left room we noticed that this mascot stayed in the hotel room. We phoned hotel 2 hours after our check out and the man at the reception told us that he will check with maids. I wrote email just to be sure that all persons are aware out this loss. We received the reply that they will search for it. The same evening I called them and I’ve received information that they did not have a chance to contCt cleaning ladies. From this moment any of my emails neither calls were not picked up. That’s absolutely disgusting to not having courage at least to tell me that you didn’t find the mascot !!!! Not picking my calls (as you see my phone number ) it’s showing very very bad customer treatment and absolutely unacceptable behavior!!!! |I’m still waiting for official information that...
