Skapto Burgers, Beers and Fries Iskar — Restaurant in Sofia City

It was obviously a slow day because as we walked in all the staff were chatting away in the corner. We managed to get their attention and asked to sit outside as the weather was nice. The waitress responded somewhat rudely and told us to do as we like. It had rained the previous day and all of the tables were dirty. We were expecting that the staff would notice and come to wipe at least our table. After the waitress visited our table twice (to take our order and bring our drinks) we figured that we'll have to ask. So, I went inside where the wait staff were relaxing and scrolling their phones to ask if I could borrow a cloth to do it myself. One of them reluctantly came to the table and sort of cleaned it. I still wasn't satisfied so I asked to grab the cloth and finished the job myself. Sorry if this sounds picky but our clothes were already dirty from just touching the table and benches. I wasn't about to eat from that same mess. Another couple came to the restaurant as we were eating and wanted to sit outside too but we overheard them being apauled by the state of the place and they just left. Probably what we should have done as well. The overall attitude was passively aggressive and simple things felt like they were too much to ask for. As a long time enjoyer of skapto I can say the food quality has dropped significantly over the past few years. This time it appears it had hit an all-time low. I didn't want to write this review but it is now a few hours later and I have been forced into sitting on the toilet for the best part of the evening. So, beware of skapto. I've been meaning to try Skapto Iskar for a while. Love their marketing and the ratings are really good. I asked for the vegan burger, nope, not available. What about this veggie burger, nope. They only had one of the huge double burgers that could be made veggie with a Beyond Meat burger. I really wanted to try, so went with it. Asked if I could have sweet potato fries with the menu options. Nope, also not available. OK. I went with normal fries. Ordered to sit in and asked for directions to the restrooms. Dear God. I don't know what sub-human used it last but IT was Every. Where. I informed the staff that the bathroom needed attention, it wasn't useable and that I would take my order to go. I still needed the facilities! I live close by, so no big deal. Got my order home. It was wrong and cold. Instead of a Beyond Meat burger, I had a slice of melted cheese (halloumi?) in a bun with some sauce, gherkins and mayo. That was it. It tasted OK. But it was stone cold. (I live 5mins away, it shouldnt have been that cold, the fries were hot so the burger could have been too). Not what I ordered and really not worth the price. Overall it was a mediocre experience. The good things first Burger was delicious. Now the bad things. First of all the service was terrible. We were a group of 5 people and they were completely overwhelmed. The first waitress didn't get our order correct so a second one had to come Because we had a lot of extras and a lot of different orders, I suggested to restart the whole process. She denied that and started to read what she had written. We made our order again and then she left. We didn't get our food for 30 minutes or so. Then we got 5 burgers but only 2 fries (we ordered 5) the other 3 fries came 10 minutes after we got the burgers. Then I ordered a large house beer from the bottle because it was cheaper than the beer from the tab and the waitress brought me the beer from the tab and said that they were out of bottled beers. I think they should have asked first. Now the burgers. They were delicious. I had the "Easy Sunday Morning" or something like that with extra egg, extra bacon and extra cheese. I only got the extra egg in my burger. I asked the waitress 2 times when she was rewriting the order if she got my extras. A friend of mine didn't get 2 of 3 extras either.
