It is called "hostel", so my expectations were not too high. Their promotion price was around 10 € for a room, which is damned cheap for Varna during the summer.||||I really got a room for 10 € per night. It contained a clean and comfortable bed of the size of the room, a mini-desk, adjustable light, and a lockable door with a small window above. - I would call it "cabin" rather than "room", though, because the width of the room was exactly the width of the bed, - but there was still some space at the foot end of the bed to store the luggage on the floor. Oh, and everything was brand new, which significantly added to the value.||||Unfortunately, my room smelt a little like fresh paint. Usually one would open the window in such a case, but there was no window which I could have opened in the room. There were two pipe ends for letting air in and out, but as the airflow through the pipes seemed not to be adjustable, they did not seem to be helpful. The temperature was also not adjustable on a per-cabin-base. It was cooler than outside, so the aircondition seemed to work, - but with no means of control and bad air, the value of this "aircondition" felt limited ... ||Some other people slept with their cabin doors open, so that the hostel got a little dorm atmosphere. I shut my door and at least had no issues with noise.||||I personally am okay with hostel cabins without windows, but I do not like it, if the fact that they have really special accomodation is not explicitely stated in the hotel booking description. Sure, one could say that the small window above the cabin door is a window, but I also would say that windows to the inside of the building do not really count. ||||Showers and bathrooms were very new and very clean, hot water was available. Of course, neither bathrooms nor shower rooms had daylight. ||||The hostel also has got a kitchen with a small fridge and a sink - I think I did not see a stove, though. The communal area is spacious and well equipped with furniture; additionally, a small terrace is available.||||Staff was very friendly, although the check-in process took a certain time.||||The location is absolutely great for Varna - it is two minutes walking distance from the central pedestrian area, and maybe 5-8 minutes from the beach. ||||All in all, I cannot complain for the price; for 10€ per night I could maybe not expect more. Nevertheless, I did not like sleeping "in the box" so much; I would prefer daylight and fresh air, - the "dorm" system is more appealing to me than the "box" system. I think I am not going to stay in this hostel for a...
Read moreThe whole place was air-conditioned, clean and obviously quite new. Kitchen and living room were nice, showers and toilets were in very good condition, there was also a small patio. The common space had windows, but the rest of hostel, where were the rooms, toilets and showers did not.||This part was like a nice prison. There were very strong lights that responded to every move in the hallways. The "room" was so small that our first reaction after seeing it was just laughter. We had two large backpacks and it was literally impossible to just walk in with our stuff.||There was a small window to the hall, so every time somebody wanted to use the bathroom the light turned on and only turned off after several minutes. Nice light effects on your road to madhouse.||The "room" was really cold because of air-conditioning, so we asked for tuning it down a little. The staff was very nice and clearly fulfilled our wish. When we came back in the night the temperature was alright, but it was nearly impossible to breathe in the room. We had to keep the door open whole night which worked marvelously together with aforementioned light regime.||I can recommend for those who are interested in sleep deprivation.||Low price but you get what...
