Ayco Cafe Ltd in Edmonton is a hidden gem, and I'm thrilled to share my fantastic experience with everyone. From the moment I stepped into this cozy establishment, I knew I was in for a treat.
The highlight of my visit was the incredible cruffins, which, dare I say, rival those from the famed Mr. Holmes Bakehouse. Ayco Cafe has mastered the art of crafting these delightful pastries — they're flaky, flavorful, and downright addictive. Each bite was a taste of pastry perfection.
I must commend the owner, Alessandro, for his warmth and helpfulness. His passion for creating a welcoming atmosphere truly shines through. Alessandro took the time to ensure that my experience was nothing short of exceptional. It's evident that he cares deeply about his cafe and the satisfaction of his customers.
The staff at Ayco Cafe are equally praiseworthy. Their friendliness and eagerness to assist added an extra layer of enjoyment to my visit. It's rare to find such a combination of excellent customer service and delectable treats, and Ayco Cafe delivers on both fronts.
The ambiance of the cafe is inviting, making it the perfect spot to unwind and savor some of the best cruffins in Edmonton. Whether you're a pastry enthusiast or just looking for a cozy cafe experience, Ayco Cafe is a must-visit.
I wholeheartedly recommend that anyone visiting Edmonton must try the cruffins at Ayco Cafe. These heavenly pastries are a true delight and a testament to the exceptional culinary experience this cafe offers.
A heartfelt thank you to Alessandro and the entire team at Ayco Cafe Ltd for creating such a delightful haven for pastry lovers. This is undoubtedly a five-star establishment that I'll be returning to...
Read more(Response to owners response - even 4 stale donuts isn't worth $6. I'm aware you don't get to choose what we get in our Too Good to Go box, and certainly don't expect freshly baked items (as mentioned in my review). Even if I were to go to your cafe and order a freshly baked glazed donut or long john for $3.50 or $3.75, that is way overpriced for those items and would be disappointed. Feel free to email me if you have further comments.)
My review is based on the customer service and ambiance of this location because if I only rated it on the baking I received, it would be a one star.
I ordered a "Too Good To Go Box" which is a mystery item box for $6. You don't know what you're going to get, it's usually baked items that are end of day goods. The box was $6.
I wasn't expecting freshly baked items, but I had looked at their menu to see what kinds of things they bake and their menu is impressive!
I picked up our box on a Saturday morning, and the ambiance was very cute and welcoming. The customer service was great as well. That's why it's 3 stars.
I opened up our box and it was 3 plain glazed donuts and 1 long john. Normal price for each item was $3.50 and $3.75. None of the donuts were very good, very boring and if I had paid full price, I would have been mad. Even for $6, that's way too expensive for four plain donuts.
Based on this experience, I definitely wouldn't order another mystery box from them, and if I went to their location, I would stick...
Read moreThis was our first time at Ayco cafe and we liked it. The entrance was a little hidden but there was a small sign out front by the door so we found it promptly.
Their pastries were displayed beautifully behind the glass. Everything looked so good. We eventually ordered a Latte with oat milk, a London Fog with oat milk, a Lemon Meringue Cruffin, and the Supreme Matcha Strawberry Croissant.
Both the food and drinks were good. The Lemon Meringue Cruffin was tasty. I loved the lemon meringue filling and I felt that there was a generous amount inside the cruffin. The Supreme Matcha Strawberry croissant was lovely as well. The matcha cream on top was so enjoyable. Though the pastries were delicious, it was served slightly cold. It would've been nice if they were served fresh or at least toasted. For me, because of the temperature and texture it didn't taste as fresh as I would've liked.
Our drinks were great though. My latte was smooth, rich, and tasted great. My boyfriend's London Fog was foamy and nice too.
Service was nice, the workers we interacted with were friendly. We got our orders slightly late, but the back area had two tea parties going on so it was understandable. Bathrooms were really nice here too. Thank you...
