Stayed at 627 On King this past weekend for a last minute, one night NOL getaway. I had been searching for a B&B in advance and found this gem. I sent an email and Wanda replied quickly and told me they had availability for the night and I accepted right away. We were very pleased with our decision.
Wanda is a fantastic host and the place is so very nice. Easy to find and ample parking for guests. It’s close enough to downtown (Queen Street) that you can walk there in about 15 minutes. The rooms have a separate entrance which is also a plus. We stayed in the Auberge room which has a super comfy King bed with upscale bedding and pillows. The room also has a mini-fridge, flat screen cable TV/DVD player, en-suite bath with shower, and a separate jacuzzi tub and fireplace. The room is also well-stocked with everything you need for a pleasant stay including a fresh fruit platter, chocolates, coffee/tea/hot chocolate supplies, and so much more. You are made to feel right at home. I could tell from the immaculate cleanliness ,how well designed and furnished the room is, and the attention to every detail, that the hosts of this B&B take real pride in their home.
Breakfast is served in your room and that is one feature that attracted me to this place. It’s really special to have breakfast brought right to your room. And what a breakfast we had. There is a menu that you choose from the night before and the time you would like it served. I had the avocado toast/eggs Benedict and it was delicious. It was accompanied with a fresh croissant that I requested, butter/jams and fresh fruit. We also had orange juice which was already in our fridge. It was an amazing experience and as you can see from the picture it was plentiful and beautifully presented.
Overall, this is an exceptional B&B and I would highly recommend it if you are ever searching for a quiet and comfortable place to...
Read moreAs of my stay May 9-13, 2019 new owners, Wanda and Kacper! No longer the great 5 star B&B! We learned this 26 hours to arrival. Wish I would have canceled and stayed somewhere else. Owners have no idea on how to run a B&B. Dirty dishes left on table, coffee grounds left, no clean towels, bed not made up, trash not emptied. Had to knock to ask why it was not done. Was told she doesnt enter room when guest not there!!! What? Better service at hotel. I told her it was ok and we want it done when we are not there. Froze every night, no heat, add to call early in morning to have heat turned on. Fireplace did not work, whirlpool tub did not work, smoke detector goes off when you shower. No fresh fruit in room or fresh baked snack left. Very disappointed, will never stay again, and we loved visiting when Maurice owned it. New owners still have Maurice's flyers/cards showing ownership displayed as well as all Maurice's TripAdvisor awards from the 11 years he owned it! Also our receipt showed Wanda and Kacper's fishing lodge name, Happy Landing Lodge!!! Clearly not prepared to...
Read moreWhen we arrived we were warmly welcomed by the host Wanda and she made sure that we had everything we needed. Wanda has gone above and beyond the bed & breakfast experience and has even provided an informative guide on their website for tourist attractions and things to do at Niagara on the Lake.
The rooms were very clean and had all the necessary amenities and the bed was very comfortable. They even had bath salts and a heat lamp for the bathroom and plenty of snacks(granola, fruits, juice, coffee, tea, chips, chocolate, candy, you name it!).
The breakfast included was amazing! Homecooked, delicious, healthy and filling. For someone like me who eats a lot, Wanda kindly accommodated my request for an extra slice of bread, so if you ever stay at 627 don't be shy to request for more food as long as it is within reason!
They also have a lovely garden in the back so make sure to drop on by, take a look and relax before the end of your trip!
We had a pleasant time at 627 and will definitely come back here the next time we visit Niagara...
