I placed an order on the Cora website for a delivery at 7am Saturday May 4th, after writing delivery details such as ''knock on front door and leave food in front of it'', after making the payment a message popped up thanking me for the order and to pick it up in 30min... so I called the restaurant to cancel the order since cancelling options on the Cora website does not exist, a woman at the restaurant said that they will not make the food and that there is no one there that can reverse the charge to my account... that a manager will be in at 9 and will take care of it and give me a call. Well by 10am, I had to call again, someone hung up the call instead of answering it (they have call display and so far, I'm still not raising my voice, I'm polite and patient). So I call again, someone answers the phone and says she just came in at 10am and that the boss is out of town for the weekend and that he will probably be able to reverse the charge on Monday and that he will be giving me a call. So Monday comes (today, May 6th), and guess what, sometime after 2pm I had to call again, knowing full well that Cora's ''manager'' certainly has better things to do than to take care of reversing charges to a customer's card for food that I never got and was nice enough to cancel immediately, so as to prevent a waste of their time and money... A small business would have not only refunded me but would have given a voucher for at least one free breakfast of equal or lesser value for all the trouble I had to go through and how long it took for them to finally resolve such a simple problem. I will never bring business to Cora's again, I will stick to small businesses managed by owners that actually really care about the representation of their business, their craft as well as their customers. Shame on you Cora, do better, people's time is valuable and not everyone has the financial resources to wait several days to get...
Read moreI’d give it zero stars if I could. Yesterday July 18th around 1:30 I stopped to eat at Cora’s Cornwall location like I usually do a few times a month. I ordered and requested no pine apple as I’m severely allergic. My food was given to the wrong table and sat in front of the other lady for 5 min. When waitress realized the mistake it was Then brought to me never exchanged for new food. My food was cold and I was not impressed. Went to take a bite there was short black hairs In my food. I showed the waitress and She takes my food back says they will make a new plate. My food should have been made new once it went to the wrong table and sat in front of the other lady. I receive my food back undercooked and watery. Found pineapple on my plate where the juice from it has now leaked into my food so I can’t eat it. By this point I’m fed up and no longer impressed. I didn’t scream I didn’t yell or make a scene but I should off. The waitress comes takes my plate hands me the bill and says I took off your drinks. So I received a free chocolate milk and my boyfriend received a free coffee. $55 was my bill for food that was touched by other customers then covered in hair then raw and had pinneapple which could kill me and they were well aware. I will never eat there again. I am extremely unimpressed with how they handled their mistakes and I should of received my meal for free since I never actually ate it, by this time I was totally disgusted. You might want to do something about your staff there and I expect a refund not a credit or free meal. Like I said I will never be going to eat at a...
Read moreI don't go to Cornwall very often, but we were down to make a donation to our favourite cat rescue (and somehow adopted another cat while we were there). Cora's was right across the street, and since my wife had not had breakfast yet, we went in for brunch. A huge group had just left, so we were seated fairly quickly. I did have to interrupt our waitress on her way by in order to place our order, which maybe should have been a warning. We watched the folks who ordered from our waitress 30 seconds before us get their food...then more...and others. After a dozen other tables got their food, another waitress reminded ours to check our table. There was no food yet. She checked her notebook... turned out she had forgotten to place our order (except our drinks), and we had been sitting there forever waiting for food that was never going to come. By the time we stood up to leave we were late for picking up our newly-adopted cat, so we had no choice but to leave, unfed. It looked and smelled good, but we just never got ours. As a long time Cora's customer, this was disappointing....I had to grab nuggets at Burger...
