It's just not fair! With all the incredible Indian restaurants that we have in Toronto (and around the world) my wife and I stumbled into WOW INDIA and discovered the best Indian food we have ever had outside of India!
To begin I had a drink I have never had - Mint Masala Mastri - made with fresh ginger and mint lemonade. Unbelievably good! My wife felt the same about the Mango-Pistachio Lassi which she also felt was the best lassi she had ever had. We then shared two dishes - the Tandoor Mixed Vegetables and the Lamb Korma - both medium spicy and accompanied by white rice and a garlic tandoori naan (which was awesomely delicate.) Both blew us away! The lamb korma was subtle but incredibly complex and flavourful, and the tandoor veggies also had a complexity that makes me reluctant to eat or drink anything else this evening - even to brush my teeth!
Wait staff were very helpful and prices very reasonable. We will be back - whenever we can find a reason to come back to Cornwall - even if just to stop in for an...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had to stay at Cornwall for a week and searched for Indian Restaurants nearby,
Found this place was only 8,10 minutes far from my stay & thought of giving a try
Well am basically resides in Toronto where we have tons of Indian Restaurants compete each other for food quality and prices
And am stunned by the way they serve the food after trying mostly every south Indian restaurants close to my place in Mississauga
Tried their Kerala Beef curry and Porotta Ahh I still can feel the taste Porotta was crispy like the way we guys eat back home and super soft plus the beef curry came in good proportion and the prices were decent
The chef is super cool and even the servers who are so polite
Later we tried , paneer Tikka , beef kothu rotti, egg biryani and we enjoyed it.
I gotta say porotta and beef was unique and i only felts that kind of taste from back home Kerala.
You guys are awesome and will be eating from there only whenever we pass through Cornwall.
Hats off to chef and team for this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe've given this place 3 chances, primarily because there aren't many options for Indian restaurants in Cornwall. Unfortunately, all 3 times, we've left highly disappointed with their food quality. If someone is considering their dishes as representative of Indian cuisine, they're sorely mistaken or have never tasted authentic Indian food.
Here's our experience with the items we tried:
Chole Bhature (Dine-in twice): While the bhatura was decent on both occasions, the chole completely missed the mark. It seemed like they used the same overly sweet gravy that they employ in all their dishes. I'm not sure if they understand how authentic chole should be made.
Mysore Masala Dosa (Dine-in): If you're craving dosa in Canada, I'd advise steering clear of this restaurant. I'm not sure why they even list dosa on their menu. From the first bite, it felt like we were eating a stale dosa prepared from a frozen dosa kit.
As an Indian, it pains me to say but this restaurant is not serving the authentic...
