Avoid this hotel at ALL COSTS!!||I booked our Saskatoon hockey team at the Four Points by Sheraton in Regina, Saskatchewan Feb. 2nd to 5th, 2023. The group had a total of 14 rooms. ||When I contacted the hotel, I specifically said it was for a hockey team. Upon organizing this I asked if a meeting room was available for our group to have team meals and a place for the group to gather. We always like this because generally a meeting room is away from the guest rooms. However, this room is as empty every time I walked past it. So we decided to book an additional guest room to accommodate the team.||Upon our arrival on Thursday the boys in our group, the hockey players, proceeded to play mini sticks in the hallways at approx 2 pm. This instantly became a problem for the hotel. The boys were told time and time again to go to their rooms. They were playing in the middle of the afternoon, not during quiet time, nor were they doing anything out of the ordinary. In fact, there were other hockey groups staying at the hotel as well who were doing the same thing.||Security would wander the hallways and scold the guests for having the doors kept open by using the deadbolts. Our group was all in the same area of the hotel. They informed us this was a security issue. And even went so far as to enter my room while I was away and close my door. Leaving me with no key and no ID to get one. However, turns out this wasnāt an issue at all as they seemed to be more than happy to provide me with a new key without even questioning who I was. ||The security issue at this hotel has become very apparent. There were homeless, drugged-out people everywhere in this hotel. This is why they were adamant we close our doors. So the hotel's security problems become their guest's problems. We would continuously get security knocking on our door to āremind usā to close our doors. Most complied but some took the advice and still opted to keep their doors open as they were inside their room. At this point, security should have noted that they advised this guest but the guest refused. Instead, the knocking and harassing continued. The security staff was rude and clearly did not like their jobs as they just kept saying āIām only doing what my boss tells me to do.ā||Upon check-in, I was asked if I wanted our room cleaned daily. I declined. They then phoned to ask again. I declined again. They then knock on the door to ask a third time. We then had to decline again. I found the staff to be abrasive, not friendly, and almost intrusive. |||The boys gave up on mini sticks and instead sat together at the end is the hall looking at their phones, playing video games, etc. But the security at the hotel was upset by this as well and the boys were yet again instructed to go to their rooms. I overheard this and questioned security about this as the boys barely made a peep. They again referenced the fact that there are people in the hotel who should not be there. I indicated I would watch the boys and they were in fact, not causing an issue at all. ||If the hotel really wants their guests to feel safe they should invest in things like having to use your key card to access the hotel, go up the elevator and go enter the stairwells. Even the lock to the pool area was broken, no key card was required there as well. But instead, they put the responsibility on their guests.||Friday night we gather in the extra room we booked. It was about 10 pm when the GM, Mounir Estefanos, first knocked on the door and asked us to be quiet. At this point, a lot of us left the room and proceeded to our own rooms for the night. A few decided to stay. They were then asked again to quiet down. At one point the lady working the front desk suggested the group come down to the lobby and utilize the closed restaurant area. The group moved away from the guest rooms and went down to the lobby. They were then told by security this was not an option because they did not have a liquor license. At that point, a member of our group went online and purchased a liquor license. The GM then suggested they sit in the lobby chairs. This was his idea and was open to the group doing this.||The next day I had a message on my phone to come down to the front desk. I then spoke with the GM who abruptly informed me that I would be letting our group know they we were no longer welcome at the hotel and we were to check out. I asked why and was informed it was because our group was not following the rules. He said they were too loud last night and since I organized the block of rooms I was the āgroup leaderā and responsible for everyone in the group. These are all adults who act and do their own thing. But I was responsible for them. I disagreed and asked what happened specifically. Another parent in our group, a male was nearby so he joined the conversation. He happened to be part of the parent group that the GM suggested come down to the lobby. I was happy he joined in as I was in my room from 10 pm on and was oblivious to what had transpired. At this point, Mounir only addresses him, the male, not me at all. The GM proceeded to say that the group was loud and dancing on the tables. The male parent who was with me informed the GM that the woman he was referring to actually just walked in off the street. The GM argued she was part of our group and he has a video to prove it. We were both excited to hear this and asked to watch the footage. He then denied us. He also accused our group of damaging the rooms. We questioned this as well but he backtracked and said it was the damage he has to deal with because of the complaints he has been getting from other rooms. He blatantly said we needed to āget outā. This was right before we were to leave for a hockey game. ||The way the GM spoke to me was rude and condescending. He would not listen to anything I had to say. This was witnessed by many people, including my own children. He spoke down to me and tried to tell me that this was all my fault and I had to deal with it. I was shaking and very, very upset, near tears. I was not part of the group that was in the lobby the night before. I followed all the rules.||I collected myself a bit and went to speak to our team manager. Also a male. He went down to speak to the GM and within a five-minute conversation, all was well!?! This left me speechless. Why could I have not done this? Simply because I am a female. The GM wanted nothing to do with me. ||My questions are? ||Why would the hotel allow the team to book rooms in the first place if clearly, they do not like hockey groups? |Why would we be told at noon the day after that we were all to check out when the night before there was no reference of this to anyone in our group? Plus the GM SUGGESTED they go to the lobby. Why not have them all go to their rooms with the mention they if they do not they would be asked to leave the next morning? |Why was all of this MY responsibility when I was in my room long before any of this happened? Why could I not have solved this with the GM since he sought me out (so far as to call OTHER rooms to see if I was there)? ||I suffer from anxiety and this situation was a trigger. The way the group was handled from start to finish was appalling. I felt horrible and still feel horrible about it all. Not what I would expect from a Marriott hotel at all. I have worked in the travel industry for over 25 years as a travel agent and will never, ever suggest this hotel to anyone. Ever. It puts a bad name on the Sheraton Four Points brand. I am a loyal Marriott customer and quite often sell it over other chains. I have completed the Marriott Hotel Excellence! Training program year after year. This hotel is NOT Marriott standards!||We spent a lot of money on our rooms and in the restaurant and bar area. Most of these hockey families look at these tournament trips as a family vacation. Family members tend to come and it becomes a social outing. ||This hotel CLEARLY needs to address its security issues. It is out of control. Yet there is no one to enforce it. They allow people to walk in off the street and hang out. Yet the boys on the team were continually followed by security. Seems their priorities are a bit backward. ||The GM needs some serious training on how to deal with the guests, specifically female guests. ||I expect this to be addressed. I will not be taking this further to the hotel as Iām sure I have exhausted all my options there, plus the GM would not listen to me anyways, but instead to...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreD0 NOT Stay Here! Worst hotel experience ever! I read the reviews and thought " train noise" no big deal! We booked three nights Feb 17-20 and the first one was noisy with guests being loud. But we managed through. The second night was filled with people partying around us until about midnight. I accepted that as it was a long weekend. We fell asleep shortly after midnight to be awoken by someone vomited very loudly outside our room door! A drunk man vomiting on our door and passing out and waking long enough to vomit more! We called the front desk... an employee came up, tried to wake the man and then returned down stairs only to call our room to say they were trying to find out which room he belonged to. The man started vomited again. We asked to have him removed. ( call the police) do what you need to do. The front desk called again about 40 min later to say they couldn't wake him. We asked again to do something to have him removed from our door. These back and forth calls went on until 5 am! At which time they called again and asked if we wanted to be moved to another room! ( by stepping over the man and vomit? At 5 am??) ridiculous!! They found which room he belonged to at 5:30 am. His drunk friends came to get him laughing that he had vomited all over. They returned to their room where the partying and laughing started again. The front desk clerk giggled the next morning when we explained it was our room that had called down during the night. She offered a free breakfast and the manager later called and offered 50% off our next stay! Like we would ever be back! TERRIBLE customer service!!I am shocked and amazed that more attention was given to finding which party room the "vomiting man" belonged to than to the quests who were respectful of the hotel had paid to stay 3 nights. The only part of our stay that was bang on was my initial thought that the " train noise" would be no big deal.! Aweful Staff under Aweful Management!!! Stay Clear...
