Worst hotel I've been at. We booked a suite with a kitchenette and living room a week before we stayed. When we got there, we were given only a double bed room. We called down to front desk to tell them that we had booked a suite, not a room as their are 5 of us and brought our own food to cook and prep and needed a suite. We were then told that all bookings are done through their head office and their head office doesn't know that this location doesn't have suites anymore. If we had known this ahead of time, we would not have booked at this hotel. The hotel has waterslides and they were only allowing 18 at a time and we could only stay for 1 hour...which was perfectly fine by us. We were able to get in quick so I went to the bathroom to change and my girlfriend and her 3 little girls (all under the age of 13) changed in the room. Because it was only a double bed room, we had asked to get a cot brought up. While I was in the bathroom, I heard a mans voice. I thought it was odd as I didn't hear a knock or anybody let him in. I changed and came out and saw that a man had brought a cot up. I asked my girlfriend if she let him and she said that he just walked right in. Didn't knock...just opened the door and came in. If he would have been there just a couple minutes earlier, he would have seen my girlfriend and her 3 little girls naked. NOT COOL!!!!! When we got to the waterslides, we counted 4 dirty band aids in 3 different locations on the waterslides stairs. When we got back to our room, we had to go to 3 different floors to find an ice machine that actually worked. We couldn't cook our food so we ordered from the restaurant. Food was great and service was great. We asked if the restaurant was open for breakfast the next day and was told "yes" and that they open up at 9am. We got there in the morning and the restaurant was closed and didn't even offer a continental breakfast. I can overlook almost everything...but the man walking into a room unannounced while there are little girls changing is completely...
Read moreI was disappointed with the Delta Regina, I have stayed at the Delta Besbourgh in Saskatoon and assumed it would be a similar experience it was not. The bellman did not even open the door, nor offer any assistance to me even though it was clear the luggage cart was difficult to push over the uneven cobblestone style stamped concrete in the entry way, many of my items nearly fell off the luggage cart.
Then the room I stayed in I thought had not been vacuumed, I went to pick some items off the floor to find out that they looked like cigarette burns in the carpet, the carpet was however vacuumed. There were also about a half a dozen spots that had looked like a previous pet had urinated on the carpet or drinks or fluid had been spilled and stained the carpet, I noticed that the carpets were also stained close to the door frames as well.
I was very disappointed that the bathroom had dingy stained caulking in the shower and around the sink.
Overall I was very disappointing with the room considering this is a 4 star hotel I did not feel like it. I expected much more. I felt my money would have better been spent at a newer 2 or 3 star hotel that have recently been built in Regina.
The bed was comfortable although when I booked I was under the impression I would have feather pillows as well as a fridge and microwave, as online those items were listed as being in the room. This was not the case and caused problems for me as I have very strict dietary needs and need to bring all my own food with me and had no fridge. The lady I dealt with at the front desk was nice though, and even came out to open the door for me as I was leaving with my luggage cart.. the bellman again was nowhere to be seen.
I chose the Delta in Regina based on the hotel chain reputation but was very disappointed and will not make that...
Read moreI recently stayed here 2 nights with my children for my daughters bday so she could go swimming and have a spa day. After speaking twice to reservations on the phone, I was assured we could check in early at 12pm saturday. We get there saturday and was met with a rude front desk lady. She said the hotel was fully booked and there was nothing she could do and no rooms clean what so ever. I asked if we were allowed to cancel without paying the cancelation fee and she said youll have to ask my manager. She gave me the managers business card and I then made a call to the manager and then left with my children. We are visibly Indigenous and have experienced differential treatment alot, and i didnt say anything, but my son spoke up and asked why that front desk lady was speaking to me the way she was and how her atittude completely changed for the next customer who was non-Indigenous. We left to do an activity because i wasnt going to sit there til 4pm waiting for our room to be ready, with 2 kids and the front desk lady went ahead and canceled our room anyways, before we got to speak to the manager, thus incurring the cancelation fee!! I then called back and spoke to a different lady (Millie) who was kind and apologetic and I asked why the room was canceled before I spoke to the manager directly and she again apologized and reversed it. She then called back again, a little while after and said the room was ready and we could check in. For the amount of money I spent at this hotel and to be treated that way by an employee was disappointing. Had it not been my daughters birthday I would of gladly canceled! This situation was disheartening and we won't be back again. Thank you to Chanel, I believe her name is for the kindness and respect...
