This one will be A HOT TAKE, so I’ll lay it all out. I got the Lobster Dinner Roll ($33), Billie Miner Pie ($13), and a Tropical Spritz Mocktail ($13). The best thing about this meal was the mocktail. But charging $13 for a mocktail is diabolical. I’ve seen speakeasies and cocktail bars charge less than $12 for their ✨speciality✨ mocktails. Oh, and the free sour dough bread was good. But that’s where my praise ends. I’m pretty disappointed with what I got. Nothing tasted bad, but it wasn’t necessarily good. $33 for frozen fries, a salad and a lobster roll with cold lobster is highway robbery. The bun on the main dish was the best thing there was. It was basically like eating a tuna salad in a toasted brioche bun, but instead of tuna it was lobster. I’ve gotten fantastic, Halifax style lobster rolls for $27 in Calgary. This dish was just lazy and extremely overpriced. As for the dessert…. Any restaurant charging $13 for a large ice cream cake SLICE is no better than Dairy Queen. No amount of chocolate or caramel drizzle will make me think this dessert is upscale enough for a “steakhouse and bar”. You won’t catch me coming here again. Dreadfully expensive prices for low quality, mass produced and mediocre food.

Very good, pricey. But loves the ambiance, classier feel.

Came with a party of four, all of us where very disappointed in our quality of food, appies (Mac n cheese, escargot and mushrooms) where all extremly dry, scalloped wrapped bacon was ok but very small in comparison to the plate it was on so value perception wasn’t the best. Service was subpar, took almost 30 minutes between appies to entrees. We ordered a second bread with our appies and never received it. Our used plates and cups sat empty on table for quite sometime as well before it was cleared. For entrees the salmon I ordered was brunt on the top, the broccoli I received with my plate was only 3 tiny pieces. My friends ordered the short rib which was very very dry and looked like it came straight from a package, my other friends steak lacked flavour completely and was over cooked. Overall very disappointed in the quality of food and service here..

Advice: if you want good service: DO NOT go to this Steakhouse because you will be met with disappointment. One of the WORST services (if not, THE WORST) I ever received. I'd rate this 0 stars if I could. My boyfriend and I went to this specific Keg Steakhouse on Dewdney because we loved the one on Albert so much but wanted to try this one because of all the good reviews. We came here to celebrate our anniversary at the end of April but it was met with a lackluster atmosphere and even worse wait staff. We came a bit earlier than the usual dinner rush (about 5pm) and we stood in the lobby for over 20minutes and two other parties joined us in our wait. While waiting I noticed only one other couple in the bar/lounge area and I thought to myself "oh nice fast service because it's still kind of dead." Nope. After a full 25minute wait, SOMEONE finally came out to ask if any of us needed to be seated. Even though I was at the front of the line, the employee completely ignored me and addressed the other couple behind me, asking if they needed any assistance. The couple was nice enough to say that we had gotten there first and she begrudgently looked at me. I asked for a table for two but was met with a "you can just seat yourselves." My boyfriend and I sat in the bar area right beside the only other couple here (I don't know what happened to the two other parties that were in the lobby with us, probably sat in the restaurant portion) and again the waiting game continued. No one came out to take out our drink orders, no one even gave us a menu. We sat at the table for another 15minutes (at this point the clock was starting to push almost 6pm) and the lobby looked like it was starting to fill up quite a bit. Still waited. Nothing. The employee who told us we could seat ourselves never showed up again so we left. I always heard good things about this Keg Steakhouse but to basically wait an half hour just to be told we "seat ourselves" and then not even get a menu to look at while we wait almost another half hour is...

Unbelievable! I just had the best sandwich ever created: the Prime Rib Sandwich. It's only served for lunch hours. I've had it before a couple of years ago and today it was better than I remembred. They shave the beef nicely, which is juicy without being greasy, it's tender and also seasoned. The bun is fresh and a bit crusty on the outside like the sourdough you should already know The Keg for. There's a bit of sautéed onion and mayo. There's some au jus to dip in and some strong horseraddish on the side. There's no reason to have any kind of sandwich anywhere else during lunch hours if you're near. I had the wedge salad as the side dish and they were so generous with the blue cheese dressing, crumbled bacon and diced tomato. This whole lunch could not have been better, but I also shared a wing appetizer sporting crispy/tasty batter and a three pepper sauce garnished with little chunks of blue cheese, bits of pickled celery and a dipping sauce that wasn't even necessary because the wings had plenty of satisfying flavour without. I haven't had a lunch this flawless anywhere. I can’t recommend the Prime Rib Sandwich enough though. It can't be beat. By comparison, I've ordered my share of beef dips at plenty of restaurants, where I've never had high expectations. I expect a slightly leathery taste and texture. It's usually part of the beef dip gamble. The Keg takes the beef dip up a whole bunch of levels in quality, texture and taste. If you've had a better beef dip in this city, you'd have to have...

Only reason it has one star is because they didn’t give a 1/2 star as an option. We travelled 135 k to join 2 other couples in celebrating a a birthday. We arrived 15 mins early and got seated immediately so off to a good start we were !!! Well that was the only good part of the evening. Delay upon delay in getting drinks , then appetizers , then several mix ups and more delays for more drink orders ! When the mains finally arrived , there was a mistake in one plate but the most disappointing thing was that all mains were accompanied by cold .. no slightly warm , not even remotely warm….straight cold broccoli and beets and also the cauliflower puree. So disappointing but it’s to be understood when you wait 45 plus minutes for your meal that cost 45.00 and higher !! Icing on the overly huge cake ( some sort of ice cream dessert that was grossly oversized ) we waited again and again …..and again for our server to get the cheques straight so we could leave. After 40 minutes the manager finally appeared from wherever he had been hiding the entire evening , oblivious to what was happening…worst service , experience and meal I’ve had in Regina …left 150.00 and promised the manager I would not the back…..probably ever ! Do yourself a favour people and save yourself the disappointment of eating at this...
