My experience in this store revolves around a thoroughly unpleasant man named Gary. I don't know if he treated my friend and I badly because we are young or because we are women or both but let me just say it was pretty appalling. My friend and I spent about 2 hours looking around the store and when we had figured out what we wanted to purchase we went to Gary for help locating the few items we couldn't find. In the middle of helping us he got a phone call, which he answered and proceeded to be nasty to the caller while we stood around and waited. The conversation lasted between 5-10 minutes and we finally went downstairs to find someone else to help us. In the middle of talking to that man Nasty Gary showed up again. There is a large sign in the store that reads "We Make Deals." This sign falsely lead me to believe that they make deals. They should really remove it since this is not the case. I was talking to the man about the price of old bank bags and since I wanted quite a few I was wondering if it would be possible to get them for a little less. The asking price was $8.50 and when I asked Gary if he could make it less he then declared each bag was now $10. I was pretty flabbergasted and said no. Gary then took the bags and put them away only to come back a few seconds later to say he was confused about which bags we were talking about. He tried to recover the sale despite him lecturing us about how valuable these bags were and how lucky we were to find them since he was the only one to have them. Yeah right. I told my friend to put down the mirror we were going to buy and left. Gary is a massive jerk and frankly his behavior lost this business $300-400 as I was getting ready to buy several family Christmas presents from them. I am shocked at how this store conducts business and I would urge people to spend their money elsewhere. There is no bartering to be done here and any profits would just go to reinforcing rude, disrespectful, unprofessional, and arrogant behavior. There are plenty of antique stores out there with the same stuff....
Read moreI'm into vintage and antique China Cups and things as I love having tea parties at home. So when I do go around in my travels anywhere in the world I often visit antique stores.
This store is great and it has plenty of vintage and antiques. Some prices are reasonable. Each section has a different vendor that is renting the space. So some parts are on sale and some have a sign stating "Make an Offer".
I did bought a Royal Albert Old Country Rose Demitasse cups and saucer for a reasonable price and I'm happy of my purchase. It'll be perfect for my collection as I use it as espresso cups.
Here's the layout of the place.... Some products are neatly placed and displayed and some are all over the place. So if you haven't been into an antique mall and you do go here you do have to be patient when exploring and treasure hunt.
This place is sure fun to visit and to explore for your vintage and...
Read moreDishonest and Unprofessional employee. I had an item on hold at this place while I was getting a restoration estimated done. I had been dealing with the two nice ladies that work there and they knew my plans. They had even recommended someone to do the restoration. The item had a hold tag on it. The old man that works for them decided to pull the tag off and sell it without giving me any notice. Very shady. When I vented my disappointment I could see the ladies were annoyed at him for cheating on this. He apparently did not communicate with them. If he had they would have told him the item was spoken for. Very unprofessional of him and clearly not a honest businessman.
I will still support this business but if you are dealing with this place make sure you are specific with your intentions and try to avoid...
