I remember watching Queen Bee hotel being built! That was 17 years ago. Still looks and feels BRAND NEW!
Staff: courteous and friendly. Professional.
Rooms: Clean!! This has got to be the cleanest hotel room I have EVER seen...and I've stayed in many...within the city, outside of the city, outside of the country...
Mattresses are so comfortable, you'll get a great night's rest here. The pillows are good too! We had two queen beds, a TV, a place to hang some clothing and a night stand with plug for charging.
Washroom: spacious, they had toiletries available but if four people were staying, you'd want to ask front desk for some additional soap, etc. There's a sanitized tab indicating the toilet was clean and not used after...so you feel confident its clean.
There is a small 1 foot fridge on the desk, however it is not plugged in, so if you need it, you'll want to maybe request it before you arrive or plug it in ASAP.
The AC was good, and wasn't too loud.
Overall pleasant and would recommend it to friends looking for a place to stay or would use it to host guests, since our condo is small.
There's no breakfast included (which for the price, I wish there was). Even something simple wkth muffins, coffee, yogurt, cereal and fruit would be nice. They have a vending machine but its not stocked with items that are sustainable.
Shopper's Drug Mart is across the street, so you can have some food options from there...or the many restaurants in the area, including the Korean BBQ attached to the hotel.
Its a walk-up, so if you need the mainfloor, I'd call ahead. We were asked if the second floor was okay, we agreed. They want to ensure that they have main floor suites for folks who need them.
Parking: free and ample...
Read moreExtremely unprofessional and unwelcoming front desk person. After arriving dead tired and adding another night to my reservation, the front desk person phoned my room to ask extra $5 for my child. To my surprise when I went online and check on the website I booked my room (booking.com) I noticed the price of the room was the same either with kids or no kids. This made my arrival stressful, unwelcoming and unpleasant. Overall, I believe this was absolutely unnecessary and ridiculous!
In addition, we have to end up asking for new linens and changing our room's bedding because we were not convince the stains we found on the linen were ok. After changing the bedding we found the new bedding was washed and clean but still have stains as the old one. I would recommend spending a few extra bucks at the dollar store and wash your white bed linens with clronine or an stain remover!
Last but no least, it seems to me that there is some systematic racism going on here.Overall a weird and unwelcoming atmosphere.
After experiencing this, I am most likely not planning to return here, there are for sure better options...
Read moreThis is not really a Hotel, it's a Motel and the room lacked a bathroom sink counter so we were using the toilet seat for our shave kit and my wife’s cosmetic kit until the dental floss feel on the bathroom floor, then went outside to a mirror in the room that had very little light so could not see oneself in the mirror. No fan in the bathroom so everything was steamed up anyways…The Super8 we stayed at last night was far, far better a Motel. ||The breakfast is in a tiny room smaller than my closet at home... I am not kidding. I have been waiting ten minutes in line to just get in there while a family of six is preparing their breakfast , toasting toast and goodness knows what else! That is really ridiculous to put all the breakfast food in a closet, like who does that?? I am sure it reduces the interest and food consumption and saves the Chinese proprietress allot of expense on food?||The location is way out of the way and the only reason we came was the rating on Expeditia and here combined with the low room cost… so for $89 the room was as expected and the...
