Came here with my family today, including my mom who is handicapped. This was not the first time we've ate here, but today was the tipping point of dissapointment & we will never back again.
Took one hour and 3 attempts just to get served green tea. Server gave us a tea pot filled with hot water? When asked the third time to get some tea leaves in the tea pot the waitress rolled her eyes. We were seated and ordered before other customers, & they got their food first including dim sum. Take out orders seemed to be priority as people came in and out of the restaurant. One plate of food came to us 45-50 min after being seated, which was a meat dish. They could at least have served us our soup order first and then bring out the rice & dishes together. Very poor communication between the waitresses and us...or none at all. After the 30 minute mark of waiting, she could have atleast notified us how much longer for the food. Unsanitary washrooms.
I understand that thanksgiving weekened can be busy for many restaurant services, & quite frankly we were very patient in waiting. In addition, they were not at full capacity, I've seen busier times when people were lined up at the entrance. They need to be able to handle their customers in a timely and polite manner. I paid them for that one meat dish that came, which we did not even eat. We left before the rest of the order arrived....
Read moreI’ve been a regular here for quite some time, but my recent visit left me incredibly dissatisfied. The tea served was disappointingly cold, and when we politely requested a replacement, the staff’s response was far from accommodating. Their refusal was accompanied by an unwarranted dismissive attitude.
Despite our efforts to maintain a friendly interaction, it felt like our requests were deliberately ignored. This was particularly disheartening as loyal customers who have enjoyed the positive experiences here in the past.
Moreover, we couldn’t help but notice what seemed like a bias based on our cultural background (Vietnamese). The assumption that “Vietnamese don’t give tips” was not only unfounded but also unacceptable. Our decision not to leave a tip during this visit was solely due to the poor service we received.
I believe in providing constructive feedback, and I hope this review encourages the management to address these issues. We value the overall ambiance and food quality at here but sincerely hope for improvements in customer service to ensure a more enjoyable experience for all patrons. Oh, and also when we asked for a new pair of chopsticks, they gave us old pairs with dirty napkin. I can't understand why they did this,...
Read moreFood was good, just as good as downtown location. However service was atrocious. Got seated quickly and order taken quickly. The place wasnt very busy, yet while we waited over 30 mins for our food, the place blew up and it was full. They did not have enough staff on and they wouldn't answer the ringing phone. There were tables trying desperately to wave down a server and bringing their own orders to the counter. When our food came, it was dropped off with the name of each dish and the lady quickly left. Usually at dim sum they bring items as they are ready. We got 8 out of 11 dishes. Assumed the rest would come. We finished and went to pay...GET THIS... one of our other dishes of food was sitting on the counter behind the register. When we told them we were missing food, he said, "oh, its right here". He expected us to take the food that had been sitting out randomly, not brought to our table. LOL We obviously declined and insisted it was taken off the bill. They argued quite sternly but we refused to pay for the missing items (and where were the other two?). Anyway, good food but we'd much rather drive the further drive to downtown then go to this Pembina location that is much closer...
