Santa Lucia Pizza Pembina — Restaurant in Winnipeg

I will not order from this location again.!! I do enjoy their pizza very much. Today I called to place an order for delivery into South St Vital. I was told, on 2 separate calls that the lights were too busy and that I needed to call back after 7pm. So, I clarified. Turns out, the drivers don't want to wait at the lights during the busy times and this location doesn't want to loose "good drivers" so they let them decide if they will deliver. I have never heard of such a thing. Its Friday night at 6pm and you are turning a repeat customer away because your drivers don't want to wait in traffic. Either offer delivery or don't. Your competitor further down Pembina didn't have an issue taking my order! #santaluciapizza...

I've usually enjoyed Santa Lucia, but the fried chicken is pretty bad. It said "seasoned in our renowned breading recipe" on their website, but there was no breading. The weird coating on the outer layer has this sour taste, although the chicken on the inside was alright (not great). It looked like some of the spices have been burned. The drumsticks are shockingly tiny, they could be in a basket of a pound of wings.

They also put the fries in a styrofoam container with no additional layers, which caused it to melt when met with hot fries and grease. Not acceptable when you're charging $40 for 15 pc of chicken and a side of fries. KFC is...

The pizza is some of the most expensive in the city. Then they add a delivery charge. IF you decide to pay via debit, they charge you $1 for that.

We ordered tonight and said we pay cash and the driver didn’t have enough change, so we had to pay with debit (and the charge). When we asked about it, the manager said we had to tell them the size of the bill we were going to use when we pay cash. So...in other words, unless you have exact change, don’t try and pay with cash.

The place is starting to price itself out of the pizza market. It’s time we look for a...
