Hotel Seminario — Hotel in Puerto Montt

Crooks! They overcharged me, promised they had refunded the amount and then proceeded to charge me the actual amount. I have tried in vain to get the refund from the manager for over a month now, just empty promises and now no responses at all. The clerk that checked us in also initially showed us the wrong room and ultimately gave us the wrong key to the room so that we couldn’t lock the door. We were so tired after the late check in and the fiasco with the overcharge and since we stayed only one night we didn’t make a fuss. I have tried in vain to actually get the refund from the manager for over a month now so far just empty promises and now no responses at all. The incompetent clerk that checked us in also initially showed us the wrong room and gave us the wrong key to the room so that we couldn’t lock the door. Upon arrival to this non-pretentious hotel, we were greeted by Ximena, a very warm and polite receptionist. Not only she offered us a complimentary upgrade given that the occupancy was low, but she was waiting us with another surprise... when entering the room noticed that the heater was on. It was really a “warm” welcome on a very cold evening. Nice, clean, warm, well equipped. They even offered us an early breakfast considering we had a super early bus towards Chaitén. The attention to details really made me feel welcomed and wanting to come back on my next trip to Puerto Montt. Kudos to Ximena...
