I stayed in a bungalow at this place with my family for two nights and can say that it was in a clean, functioning state and that the accommodation was very comfortable (although the single beds were rather narrow). We enjoyed our stay, but when we asked for transportation to El Calafate as bus companies weren't running during low season, the (always friendly and polite) owner Luiz called a few people and informed us that no tourist agency was offering trips during low season either. I had heard different stories earlier and since I have lots of travel experience (this was part of a one-year round-the-world trip), I could tell that he might not have been being honest with us in order to gain personal profit. This turned out to be true, since he took advantage of the fact that we had our next flight from El Calafate and suggested we pay 500,000 Chilean pesos (about 750 USD) for a three-hour private transport. This was of course absolutely ridiculous, but he tried to justify it by saying the roads were dangerous because of snow. We walked into an agency ourselves, booked reasonably priced transportation only to find out that there was no snow on the roads at all and hadn't been there in three years according to our guide. Luiz also offered to do laundry for 1,500 pesos (about 2.2 USD) per kilogram, but when we came back with it he suddenly changed the price to 3,500 (5 USD) per kilo, claiming I hadn't understood him correctly, but I heard very well what he said and wouldn't have gotten my laundry for that kind of tourist scam price anyway. Friendly but dishonest person. Be very careful with...

Read moreEasy to find, friendly reception, parking space and quiet.||This place almost didn't make it to 4 stars (meeting expectations), even though we got all what we needed for a few nights stay.||Compared to other places where we stayed, cleanliness could have been a little bit better. We had to wash the floor mat in the shower area for example..||||Note: In hotel listings, this this property looks much cheaper than others because it does not show that 19% tax (IVA) will be added to the bill. This tax should be applied on the agreed rental only, and not include the commission paid to the likes of booking.com. All properties where we have stayed over the past few years in Chile, do not charge tax. An official receipt...
