We stopped in here for a meal hoping to get some lamb and have a good meal. After waiting 30 minutes outside, we were eventually let inside and then rushed to a very tiny table right by the door. Even though there was another table open in the corner, it was not offered to us. Shortly after we were seated, the waitress moved a couple that had entered after us to the better table.
The waitstaff were rude and impatient, the waitress that seated us was impatient and was huffing and tisking right as we sat down that we did not have our orders ready, despite not having any time to see the (QR code only) menu. We then tried to order lamb, but were told (rudely) "we only have beef", so we ordered beef reluctantly.
Some time later we were served, but the meat looked wrong. Cross sections of a spine, mostly gristle. After a few bites we determined they had served us LAMB! (well really tough mutton more like) Seconds later a waiter reappeared and said "This is not your food" AND GRABBED THE PLATES RIGHT OFF THE TABLE. My wife asked in Spanish "We don't mind, we will pay for it", to which the waiter replied "No, this is not your food".
They then served the food (that we had started to eat) to another table (wow). We were then served our "beef" which was over cooked, over salted, and a pretty terrible cut of beef that was very tough (maybe some slice of chuck roast?).
To summarize: Rude staff, dumb menu, poor seating, wrong order, cheap meat, very expensive (over $75 USD for what amounted to 2 bad steaks and 2 cokes).
I have eaten at a lot of places and I will straight up say this place SUCKS. Do not waste your time or money here for mediocre food and worse service. They should shut this place down since the only thing they serve that is actually good is the bread appetizer. I would give 0...
Read moreWe are staying in Puerto Natales for a few nights and came to this place for the traditional BBQ lamb. We had read about it from a few Puerto Natales blogs and were excited to give it a try. The food indeed was quite good, we had steak, lamb, and chicken. We also got the patatas bravas and a nice bottle of wine. We really liked the bread sauce to which our waitress was reticent to give us more, which was a bit of a running joke, however we were more than happy to pay for more sauce and bread. What really makes me give this place a two star review is once we left the establishment to go outside and wave a taxi down there were none. I then went inside to ask them to call me a taxi, to which they made fun of the request openly to another table, specifically our waitress with the blonde hair did this. We ordered a good amount for two people, and given the prices, this isn’t something I would have expected. Thus a decent quality meal was hurt by our exiting treatment, and some slights throughout, by...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I went here last night. I ordered ribs she ordered steak (lomo). Her steak was so gamey that I could smell it across the table. She kept trying to eat it because she didn't want to be "those" Americans. After 1/4 of it she decided she couldn't continue and we told the waitress as she brought us the bill. The waitress kind of shrugged and asked me if I'd like to tip. Only when we said no and insisted there was something wrong with the meat did the waitress go back and try to take off some of the cost from the original price of the lomo.
My meal was better but not by much. I'd equate it to short ribs I would expect at an Applebee's. We were excited to eat here from a recommendation from our host so it was quite disappointing to say the least. We just came from el chalten Argentina where the beef is all unbelievable so it may be fair to say we were walking into this place a bit spoiled. The potatoes and chicken soup...
