And this is not an exaggeration. |Helpful bilingual (and some trilingual) staff, friendly owners, a bunch of different style travelers from all over the world (cyclist, bikers, overlanders, backpackers, families, old and young...), relaxed vibes but very well organized. ||Facilities: big, fully equipped kitchen (two fridges, two gas stoves with ovens, microwave, shared food compartment), clean toilets and bathrooms with really hot water (3 of each for men and 3 of each for women), roofed barbecue area with two barbecues and a couple of tables, huge shared cozy space to spend windy or rainy day inside with enough electric sockets and tables where you can work on your laptop, movie proyector for movie nights, excellent wi-fi signal that reach every corner of the camp (two reds, one for inside the shelter and one for the exterior), a lot of wind protected spaces for tents and flat spaces with electricity for campervans (for the big ones, too), security cameras installed...||Additional services: big lockers available for a half a dollar per day, hiking equipment (tents, sleeping bags and mats, hiking poles) and bicycles for rent, laundry service, all the possible information about Torres del Paine and other attractions in and around the city.||Location: absolutely perfect, super safe neighborhood, 2 minutes by foot to the bus terminal, 3 minutes to the big supermarket, 10 minutes to the city center, beautiful view over Puerto Natales, the sea and the mountains in the background.||THIS PLACE HAS EVERYTHING! 10/10|And all of this for 8000CLP (10USD) per person per night!||You will love it! Read moreWith a ‘Penguino’ (penguin) as its logo, aptly named Camping Guino is located in the base town for the ever popular Torres Del Paine. The space is a large open field on a slope overlooking Puerto Natales The bus station is just around the corner should you need it and a large common area allows for the preparation of food, socialising and accessing the free WiFi available. The hosts are welcoming and you can bring your vehicle, as we did.
THE GOOD WiFi was really good although only accessible from the common area. The communal area was a great spot to prepare food given the frequent bad weather that comes through Puerto Natales. There is also plenty of information on Torres Del Paine available.
THE BAD The sloping ground makes it hard to find a flat place to sleep. There is only one or two flat places to park a car. The tent sites did look to be level though.
THE AWESOME Views over Puerto Natales are spectacular, frequent rainbows or storm clouds rolling in and the city lights twinkle in the distance w=once the sun finally sets in summer. Oh, and a large projector screens movies, sports and TV shows...
