Location is good- quite near the bus station and an easy walk to the main street (about 10-15 minutes)||We stayed two nights and found it pleasant enough. ||Wide bunk beds with comfortable mattress.||Hot showers and a nice breakfast (bread, jam, cheese, ham, biscuit and yoghurt)||Nelson the owner speaks English well and is good to chat with and can give you information on things to do...or rent equipment.||He lives in the building - so it's more like a B&B. ||||The downside is that it is so cold in the bedroom, I could see my breath this morning ( the beds are warm though with 2 blankets and a duvet). I did notice as we were leaving that there was a gas fire in the back dorm room- so ask for this one. The social area/kitchen is heated by the arga oven and a gas heater. ||||It's a quiet area and generally quiet at night but once people are up you can unfortunately hear them clomping about- as the floors carry sound. ||||Clean and tidy it's a cheaper option to stay in Puerto Natales. ||With only 2 dorm rooms it means there is more space to cook in the kitchen ( equipped well) ||||We have given 3 stars but it could...
Read moreOk, this is the first time i leave a review for a hostel because i feel important that more people will be aware of this. I had little time in Puerto natales for getting ready for my trek in Torres del paine and i had plans for the day.
But i arrived at this hostel earlier than check in and the reception guy was angry and impatient with me because of that. I asked to leave my stuff at the hostel and a bit of food in the refrigerator. He agreed but when i had another small thing to put in the refrigerator he started to be much more angry and impatient and shouted at me that this place has rules and i dont respect them and its not acceptable. Furthermore, he was also hearing loud heavy metal music. Im not an psychology expert but it might suggest his temper. Anyway he threw me away from the hostel! I had to find a new place, additionally to the little time i had to get ready for the trek.

Read moreWe stayed here for two nights, before and after our hike. The hostel is small and personal. The owners live there and have converted there two spare rooms, they are very welcoming and the breakfast is an added bonus. Breakfast is at 6.30 so doable even if you catch the 07:00 buses like we did. The beds are comfortable and although the rooms are a little small, there was still enough space with four of us plus backpacks. The communal kitchen is large with adequate cooking facilities and is a great place to meet other backpackers.||The hostel is located 5 minutes from the bus station and 10 minutes from the main high street.||You can rent all necessary camping/hiking equipment from the hostel and it's decent gear ideal for cold nights in the park. The prices are the same or even cheaper than other companies in the area.||The only negative (and hence 4 stars not 5) is that we could only get the shower to run boiling hot or freezing cold. Although after 5 days hiking I wasn't to worried as any shower was better than none.||I would recommend staying here to anybody heading to...
