We stayed here as a group for 3 nights in between trekking the O circuit with a tour operator. The tour operator, Peak Exploration, (separate review) booked this hostel for 9 of us and it was god awful. ||First, the tour operator knows we are mainly English spoken clients and the staff only speaks Spanish. The rooms are dirt cheap so she was probably trying to avoid cutting into her margins to much. Also the location is probably ideal because it’s a short walk to the bus station. ||The ground floor has an overpowering smell of sewage that they are attempting to cover with cheap ammonia ||The beds are uncomfortable and linens are something from my grandmothers house, including the dust. ||The female staff rep working the morning shift is a complete rule enforcer and difficult to deal with. No guests may use the the kitchenette or fridge. I put all my beers there in the evening and they were cool about it. Come morning time, it was unacceptable. ||The bathroom was ok, seemed clean, however after the second night I moved to the Indigo Hotel. There are much better hostels in the area and still within a reasonable walk to the bus station. ||They charged 7000 pesos to store luggage that was only mentioned when we returned. ||Would avoid at...

Read moreThe owner and the employees of the hostel are not to be trusted at all. Firstly, I asked them before making the reservation if we could leave our luggage there and how much we would be charged. They said yes and that nothing would be charged. When we got there, they said it would be charged per bag per day, and even after I showed them the message and their answer on my phone, they insisted on charging us. Secondly, the day before we were leaving, I directly asked the man on the desk at what time was the checkout and he said (12:00pm). The next day 2 employees knocked on our room's door 10:55 telling us we have to leave in 5minutes. I asked to talk to the owner, they called her. Even after telling her I directly asked on the desk the day before she told us we were wrong and we had to leave imediately. We had to finish packing our stuff in a hurry and were kicked out like dogs. In summary, ir you praise for honesty, value one's word and don't like to be fooled, I strongly advise you to stay in any of the many other...
