Hospedaje Sole — Hotel in Punta Arenas

Location:||There is no signs of it anywhere, neither outside. The only way to find it is remembering the house number and ringing the bell hoping you are not disturbing a particular dwelling. Inside the place you'll inmediately think this is a clandestine lodging.|||The House:||This place looks like it's falling apart, worn down, and old. And it is falling apart, worn down and old.||Despite the above, the place is kept clean and the bed sheets are fresh.|||The owner:||Soledad seemed bothered or annoyed everytime she was asked a question, as if it was too much effort having to answer you or having to explain how local transport works.|||Breakfast:||It was a combination of instant coffee or tea, and sugary industrial orange juice, to drink alongside slices of toasts with butter, jam and slices of gouda-like cheese (some mornings there'd be ham too). There was also a bowl of yougurt to mix with oats. I would rate it as plentiful but ordinary. And the quality of products was sub-standard.|||Amenities:||Kitchen use was limitted in a sense that oven cooking and frying (burger, meat, fish, etc.) wasn't allowed. So your options were boiling or microwaving.|||Rooms:||There was no heating upstairs, where most rooms were, and in summery February it felt cold, so I don't want to know how you would survive in winter in the twin room we got with no heating whatsoever. Beds gave a decent rest. Rooms had no key, but you could lock it from outside with a padlock.|||Bathroom/toilet:||There was 1 toilet+shower for 10+ guests, so a visit to the toilet in a moment of need was often a privilege. ||The other available toilet was downstairs (by an outside staircase) and through the kitchen.||||If you are looking for the cheapest option possible  in town, you might want to consider this place, but if you find a price match, it's a no brainer where you should...

Really bad place to stay in. If you are reading this, please avoid it. In first place the host doesn't talk to you at all, we never felt in a chilean hospedaje like all other places over this country. There's no heat only in the common spaces which are two: one in the first floor where she spends all day with her cat watching tv and one in the 2nd floor with a tv and 2 old couches. The beds have bedbugs, we saw them and felt them at night, the bathrooms where unclean and the waiting was of 1hr approximately.

The breakfast consists in one bread, one slice of cheese, hot water and one slice of jam. She lock the door in the night so if there is an emergency all the people from the 2nd floor is on danger. The outside doesn't have any sign so everybody's get confused to get there. After 2 days I realized that she overbooked the hostak to make sure she fulfills her rooms demand, so she tell people that the reservation got lost or something....

No me gustó nada, en principio llegamos a las 8, que eran las 9 de la mañana (por la zona horaria), dejamos el equipaje, ya que me dijo que la habitación no estaba lista, que daba desayuno y por eso el ingreso era a las 12:00 (el desayuno es de 7:00 a 9:00) volvimos a las 12:30 y recién subio a limpiar, así que le dije que por la hora de la llegada, estábamos cansados, con sueño y frío, por lo que nos quedamos en el 2°piso esperando mientras la Sra. hacía el aseo, para acceder a él debes salir por una puerta desde la cocina al patio y subir por una escalera y tirar un pitillo para abrir la puerta de su segundo piso, muy helado mientras esperábamos en la sala de estar. Nos entregó la habitación a las 13:30 aproximadamente, la cual era un témpano a pesar del calefactor que hay, ojo que es el único en el 2°piso y muy precario, del que se espera que caliente o tempere la sala de estar, hacia los 2 baños y las 4 habitaciones que hay en ese espacio, demás esta decir que no cumple su misión. El frío es constante. Los baños mal mantenidos, muy chicos, sucios y fríos, una sola jabonera del producto líquido para los 2 y también un solo rollo de confort, la ducha se filtraba y salía por todas partes el agua, no hay toallas para los pasajeros o al menos a nosotros no nos dieron. El uso de la cocina también es un tema, la puedes ocupar, pero solo para cocinar fideos y cosas rápidas (huevos y ese estilo de cosas), no creas que te vas a cocinar arroz, bistec o pollo. Las habitaciones no tienen llave y por el frío en estas hay que mantener las puertas abiertas a ver si algo de calor entra, lo cual lo hizo incómodo, otros pasajeros, que es lo normal, estaban en la sala de estar viendo tele y conversando, mientras yo creía que se temperaria, lo anormal era que yo debía tener la puerta abierta para conseguir algo de calor en mi habitación. Cuando salimos pedí llave o un candado, ella me pasa un candado a regañadientes, por el cual me pregunto como 3 veces si lo tenia, me molestó ya que sentí que le preocupaba más el candado económico que mi comodidad en su alojamiento. No dormí del frío en la noche, según me dijo alguien de los pasajeros había apagado el calefactor... El desayuno es una taza de café o té, un vaso pequeño de jugo envasado, un cuarto de pocillo de yogur, pone un pocillo grande de avena para que saques a tu gusto y una hallulla pequeña abierta con una loncha de queso y 2 de salame cada mitad, había un pequeño jarro con leche para ponerle al café, me dio la impresión que era una mezcla de agua con leche, era demasiado aguada para ser descremada. Debí haberme quedado 4 noches pero con 1 me convencí que debo irme a otro lugar, a las 11 de la mañana siguiente (hoy 23 de mayo) salí de ese infierno helado e incómodo. Se que el precio es económico pero he estado en excelentes lugares por ese mismo valor. En resumen mi experiencia fue mala, falta...
